This is a hip-hop movie no rap fan should miss.Angela Bassett plays Voletta Wallace(Biggie Smalls Mother) to a T,with her Jamaican accent.Jamal Woolard plays as Biggie Smalls. He stays true to his real life counterpart. When he's in the studio recording "Juicy" his first single ever to get played on radio they use Jamal's voice instead of Biggie's.The music in the montages, and backgrounds is the original music from Biggies albums.Naturi Naughton as Lil Kim plays her part so well you think that's actually Lil Kim.She sets herself apart from the other women in biggie's life(Faith his wife,Mom). With her sexy, and sassy ways,it's how she brought life to her character. It tells the real life story of his trials and tribulations(East coast,West coast beef)from dead broke to being one of hip hop's greatest MC's.We Miss you BIG R.I.P.

As a Biggie Smalls fan I must say this film is pretty solid. The acting, cinematography and soundtrack are all excellent. The issue is the actual story. This is not the story told from Biggie's actual point of view or a close family or friend. This is the story told from Diddy or Puff Daddy's point of view. This story leaves out a lot of details regarding his life and what actually happened. For example Biggie was in California for a month prior to being killed. It was also the idea of Diddy for him to go to the party that fateful evening. this movie could have been so much more compelling if the actual events were told

Another great bio-pic. Few of these bio-pics can stand out and be really good movies but this along with 8 mile's do just that. Both are entertaining and educational on how they came to be. Highly recommended.

It was nice to hear the other side being a pac fan more. The guy who played biggie was amazing but some of there other choices in my opinion fell short. But still a good movie..

This movie tells the story of the life of Notorious B.I.G. The actor used to play the character did a fantastic job in capturing the role.
