I have been using Dragon for years it is an exlent dictation program. It is an wonderful program for people who have to wright a lot like students. it is also goog for people who have problems typing. One of the nice things about Dragon in comparason to the built in program for Mac or Google is that it learns the words you use and the way you speek.

I got dragon for Mac to help me in my graduate class, "counseling skills and techniques." For this class, our assignments were mock counseling sessions. We recorded the audio's of the sessions and had to transcribe the entire audio which was between 45 minutes and an hour, it would take me days to transcribe every word in that session. So I went and bought this product to help me out so that I wouldn't have to spend so much time on the transcription part of this assignment. But anytime I put something through to be transcribed it was transcribed into words that were completely not even close to what was said . I did voice recognition 100 times I put through different clips of my voice hoping dragon we get used to my voice and how I say words, but that was more time-consuming than just transcribing by hand myself. I've been waiting for a time when I have some down time to play around with it since it supposed to be accurate and completely on point according to the box and online descriptions. I've had nothing but trouble with this, the dictation part was better than the transcription part, however there are still many issues. Such as, as I was transcribing dictating a paper after a couple of sentences, even only one sentence, it would highlight the entire thing and delete it for no reason. It is not worth the $200 I spent on it, and I wish I could return it. But because I've been really busy transcribing things on my own I haven't had time to see if I can return it. The dictation that comes with the Mac originally works better than this fancy program that doesn't even do what I ask it to.

Only suggestion I have is to make sure you have a good microphone because words like "Pharaoh," dragon will write "barrel" if you use the built in microphone in your Mac
