I feel truly lucky to have been able to snag one of these cards. For $700, it is truly a remarkable value. There is a bit of coil whine under load on my unit, but not too terrible. I can't hear it with the headphones I use anyways. Also, the 12 pin adapter is ugly, no way around it. With it was longer so it could have been hidden behind the motherboard. All that said, I'm getting fantastic performance with the card. It was a huge upgrade from my 980ti. 100+fps at 1440hz with settings maxed is no issue for almost all AAA games. 60+fps for 4k. The 3080 and Cyberpunk & Control have also sold me on Ray Tracing. When implemented well with DLSS, it really is a game changer. It stinks that 6 months later we're still not able to easily acquire these cards. Best Buy's shipping was not great. Gard was in a box with two flat air packets and had obviously been bouncing around. Luckily the Nvidia box was a lot better, and kept the card safe. Overall, I'm lucky to have one at all given everything, and given the chance, I'd happily purchase again.

Actually I give the product 4.5, but rounded up. 4 feels too low. I was glad I was able to buy the card after a long search. First time wasn't able to place pickup order, but after a few weeks was able to place order and pickup nearby. I'm upgrading from RTX2080FE to this RTX3080FE. I have a NZXT H200 case (mini-itx), and I play games at 40K60. Physically the card is longer than RTX2080FE. The RTX3080FE has white lights and a fan blowing out the back and one blowing air toward cpu cooler. Idle the temps are around 37. If playing Black Ops Cold War, it stays quiet. But when I play RDR2, the fans are get loud, temps around 75. I think the one facing up is the one I hear the most. Compared to RTX2080FE, this seems louder. Also, I increased graphical settings since its a newer card. First time I played a game I think I heard buzzing, likely coil while. Not loud or annoying, just present depending on intensity of graphics. The RTX2080FE had it but not much, and only noticed in RDR2. But this RTX3080FE I do notice more. Some of the more noticeable fan noise and coil whine I attribute to open top fan. But now after about a week of gaming I think the coil whine has gone quieter. I heard less of that electronic sound. Overall I'm happy with this card. Design is beautiful and game run great. Everything is great except fan noise and slight coil whine, but I'm still very happy with this card.

Ok so after passing through the battlefield of bots, lost sleep, shed tears and possibly even blood from my blisters by furiously clicking F5 and clicking add to cart, I have reached super saiyan mode. All joking aside, this card is huge! Design wise it’s absolutely gorgeous. Did I need a 3090 not at all. But it sure does shred any games such as Horizon Zero Dawn (75FPS 4K Ultra), SnowRunner (90FPS 4K Ultra), Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (54FPS 4K Ultra), Call of Duty Cold War (132FPS 4K Ultra) Gameplay isn’t the only benchmark because some people may use this for 3D modeling softwares, Octane Blender, raytracing and other programs that can fully utilize the increase in cuda and ray tracing cores. I’ll provide more updates along the way as I use it for various different applications such as Davinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
