Hail the BFG!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I need to give props to Best Buy: Thank you for keeping these at MSRP price, we truly appreciate this as GAMERS. Secondly, this is perhaps the most exciting GPU for me in the last couple of years I have been building gaming RIGS. Can't say I have ever camped outside a Best Buy the night before for ANYTHING! Not even for a Black Friday sale! But for this BFG, my only viable option was to camp the night before an inventory drop as paying 100% over MSRP is just plain ridiculous. On games: I play Call of Duty and Battlefield at 1440p, on 35 inch ultra-wide screens. This card is off the charts on performance, FPS and gaming experience. I've never experienced this performance before. Truthfully, you can experience great gaming on a 3080 or 3080 TI too, however, that would be boring and with this, you get an extra 5-10% on performance. EVERYTHING is just SMOOTHER, CLEANER, NO DRAMA in my opinion and experience so far. Pros: - 1440p gaming is smooth - 170+ FPS - 24 GB memory (great for multi-tasking, rendering etc.) - Low to Mid GPU temperatures - Easy to overclock - Best Buy sells these at MSRP - Size Cons: - Inventory (of course) - Size (for those with small Cases) - Power hungry (don't use a 750 W psu on this, 850 W is just barely enough, I highly recommend a 1,000 W PSU) My machine: => CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X => CPU Cooler: 140mm Enermax Aquafusion white edition => Mobo: ASUS Tuf Gaming x570 Plus => Case: NZXT H510i Elite white case => GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 FE (BFG) => RAM: 32 GB Dominator Platinum RGB @ 3800 MHz => SSD: M.2 2280 1TB drive => PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-1000W PSU => Mouse: Steel series Rival 600 mouse => Monitors: Viotek Ultrawide 35-inch, Asus Tuf Gaming 32-inch => Headset: SteelSeries - Arctis 7 Wireless DTS Gaming

If you absolutely want the best RT performance....
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was previously running a 5700xt, but I decided to upgrade from 2560x1600 to a full on 4k display and quickly hit frame rate issues in World of Warcraft @ Ultra settings and Deus Ex:MD @ Ultra. Couple this with the new Shadowlands game engine being Ray Tracing (RT) enabled along with patiently waiting for CyberPunk 2077 now due in December and I decided to take the plunge. A nifty, "THE WAIT IS OVER!" in stock email popped up in my box and I was lucky enough to score one before it almost immediately went out of stock again. Hardware wise, I'm running an EVGA Z390 FTW coupled with 9900k @ 5.2ghz and 32GB (4x8GB) of G.Skill B-Die @ 4000. This card is pretty massive and expensive, but it gets the job done providing roughly 60fps everywhere @ 4k ultra with RT on high and shadows to high. I never knew WoW could look this good and be this beautiful. Seeing as this is my main game I play (and have played since Vanilla), RT is mandatory now for all my GPUs. The custom FE heatsink and fan keep the card at 65 or cooler at all times while staying relatively quiet (my CPU fans get louder especially during raids). Even a mild overclock still keeps it relatively cool in the 60's. I absolutely LOVE the thick, industrial slab look of the FE heatsink with the lit up "GEFORCE RTX" on the top. Is this card price:performance optimal? No, not even close. The 3080 is clearly the best price:performance spot within the Nvidia family even with the 3070 now here and as always, let your software determine your hardware; but if you want the best RT card on the market, right now this is it. Everybody has their own idea of, "what's worth it." For some reason, people tend to have this odd, annoying habit of trying to tell others how they should spend their disposable income. For me, I wanted top notch performance and now having enabled RT in the game I play the most and at 4k, RT is mandatory now for myself and all future cards.

This card is a BEAST
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was lucky enough to get one, when the add to cart button was on a eternal loop. All I can say is that my games are beautiful and this GPU is a beast. It took me a year but I finally got it. And the MSRP price is AMAZING - Almost the same price as a 3080 TI. I heard that there were issues with the temperatures. But maybe Nvidia corrected that, because, the temperatures are great after all my tests... that includes memory junction. If you still want it keep trying (you may be as lucky as me) I did it for months and now I can stop my quest.

Very Nice Card
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good card. Of course, overpowered just for gaming. Tried to get the 3080, but was unsuccessful. Got the next best thing since the dirty scalpers charging the same price as 3090. Plays all my old and new games on Max or High settings with DLS and Ray Tracing enabled. Able to connect it to my LG CX 55" is an extra bonus. CONTROL got over 60FPS on the 4k TV. Makes a big difference coming from 1080TI. Play COD Cold war and BattleField V. Temperatures stay under 72c at full load. current setup Intel Core i7-10700K MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI LGA 1200 Intel Z490 LG 34GN850-B HyperX Fury 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz SAMSUNG 970 PRO M.2 2280 512GB (OS) Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB (GAMES) TOSHIBA X300 HDWR180XZSTA 8TB (DATA) NZXT Kraken X73 360mm LIAN LI PC-O11 Dynamic Razer Edition be quiet! Powerful GPU, but very pricey and hard to find
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It isn't cheap, and it's hard to get. But it really transforms your experience especially in my case when I was upgrading from a GTX 780. I bought this to run Flight Simulator 2020, and it runs very well, keeping above 30 FPS on ultra settings. Everything else runs at 60FPS or more if your framerate is unlocked in the game. It's a beast of a card, but beware that you need a powerful PSU to handle the power consumption spikes (I use an EVGA 1000W) and you definitely need space in your case, as this monster takes up 3 slots and it's very wide. Fantastic card, but very expensive and hard to find. If you're not into super demanding games like Flight Simulator, a 3080 is a better value for you, and the RX 6080XT and RX 6090XT are great options as well.

Get this one if you can
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best 3090 you can buy, the lower price is just a bonus. I purchased this card from BB and picked up a 3090 Asus ROG Strix off Amazon for me and the wife's gaming/VR PC's. Just dabble into mining while not gaming or using our PC's and the founders edition gpu and vram temps are way cooler gets better hashrate at lower watts in a more airflow constricted case. No difference in gaming performance. Fairly disappointed in the strix card at $600 more. Too expensive for sure, but I prefer a Suburban over a minivan any day, and Suburbans are not worth it either...

Most innovative design ever and 100% worth it !
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a huge battle for months, finally was able to snag one from BBuy. Biggest problem was not to add a card to the cart, but next step when you try to purchase- you keep getting "not available for your store", "why"? (God only knows)... This one, I got extremely lucky. Someone gave me a link to purchase on social media on jan 5th drop and I tried it without hope and it went through! Don't ask me why regular process didn't work and why this link worked...but I got it anyways...thank you God and BBuy. Now, lets talk about the price - yes its 1500$/-, for most gaming, 3080 is best performance for price, however, for any 8K video rendering, for resize bard support coming in Feb, for other programs (outside games), having more VRam for me was worth it. 2080TI was 1200$/- and this is 1500/- for titan class card. really, its expensive but it depends on the perspective you look at. Now I don't have to worry about potential 3080TI which might or might not come ever... who knows. For performance, I get 15% more FPS on 1440p and in some games over 18% easy. With more coda cores and more VRam, games those will come out in future, will run better if it needs more VRam (like Flight Sim). if 3080 did have 16GB, it would have been the BEST no doubt. the card runs quiet and cool. Its massive (in size) when you unbox it. Takes time to get over the size for couple of hours or days :). It only uses two 8PIN for power and 12Pin to connect. I love the 12 pin connector. The new design works perfectly for me as it works like a blower style to remove heat from back of the card, in addition to the blowing any warmer air using back fan of the case. The build quality is nothing I have ever seen. all metal design. Logo RGB can be controlled using iCue. Default is neutral white. It looks amazing in the case. Who is this for? If you can afford it, get it. There are anything we waster $$$ one. Compromise somewhere else to make up for difference if you are very picky about cost. Highly recommend this over the AIB just for the design, build and aesthetics alone. I am more of design and aesthetics than a few more FPS at the cost of higher dB and boring three fan design.

Purchased strictly for gaming, my thoughts:
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3090 was made for enthusiasts who crave the best of the best, even if the price/performance ratio is unjustified. To say the 3090 founders edition is huge is an understatement. You can't know how big this card truly is until you see and hold it in person. Assuming you have the funds (and case clearance) I totally recommend pulling the trigger if you manage to find one in stock. As for as performance, it is obviously a beast. I paired this with an i9 10900k. I play everything at 4K 120hz on my new OLED LG CX48. The HDMI 2.1 connectivity is amazing and allows for 4K, 120fps, gsync, and HDR all at once. From playing many different games (old and recent) at max settings at 4K I can tell you that 10GB (what the 3080 has) won't always cut it in all scenarios. Many recent games, especially those that don't feature DLSS, use 10+GB with everything maxed at 4K 12Ohz. It is a very good feeling to know that I'll be sitting pretty for quite some time with a hefty 24GB of vram. I'm even playing around with scaling 4K to 200% to simulate 8K gaming and I have maxed the vram out in quite a few titles. It's fun. I've got to mention the awesome build quality too. Each of the 30 series founders cards are both beautiful and functional with their striking new design. My temps typically stay in the low to mid 70s with the 3090's flow through design and the sound is actually less noticeable than my old 2080ti XC ultra. Even if AMD's upcoming 6900xt ends up outperforming the 3090 (which I doubt), I'm still partial to Nvidia's rtx, gsync, and dlss tech since they pioneered all of it.

Q: QuestionCan I use this to play solitaire or do my Microsoft word homework? Need decent specs to run these I hear.
Asked by TJ.
- A:Answer The 3070 will be enough for Microsoft word homework, however solitaire is quite demanding so the 3080 will be enough for that. Now if you want to have at least 10 pages open in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, you can’t go any lower than a 3090. Good luck!

Q: QuestionHi, I'm waiting for this card for about 4 months and it's always sold out - when this item will be available?
Asked by Vlad.
- A:Answer Same man. I've been trying to get this card since release. I built a new PC months before release with the intention of using this card. It's been restocked several times. To save you some anguish, any restocks in the near future will be a waste of time. I'm not just saying that to improve my own chances. Last restock I managed to get the card in my cart 2 separate times. I kept getting the error that the "Online Only" card wasn't available for store pickup. I had no intention of store pickup, I wanted it shipped. Well after contacting customer service, I came to find out that it just wasn't available for store pickup from any store within any reasonable distance from me. Like 250+ miles. So it didn't show any availability whatsoever. Customer Service told me that "during the holidays" they're selling the card as store pickup only. So this already extremely limited supply, is going to an extremely limited number of stores. And if you happen to get the card in your cart, you'll be very near an aneurysm trying desperately to just get through the checkout process and realize that it won't ever work. Unless you happen to be lottery level lucky and live close enough to a store that will have 1 of 3 cards that they got in stock. I guess you could also start guessing and checking several zip codes upwards of hundreds to thousands of miles away. Again you'd probably have to get lucky with the guess, and then you're stuck driving however far away. And then you'll have to hope and pray that they don't make some sort of mistake and sell your card to someone else after you travel all that way. This is our life now. Having fun yet?

Q: QuestionWhere do I find the bot that will auto purchase these cards? Apparently this is the only way to buy one these days.
Asked by NEEDACARDFORMYKID.
- A:Answer As long as BB doesn't put a captcha test at checkout or a simple purchase limit on products, scalpers will always buy everything first and you'll be left in the dust. This is BB's problem, not the scalper's. People need to start making complaints to the Better Business Bureau against BB, amzn, NewEg, etc.
