Fun entertaining

Best way to discover Virtual Reality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oculus Go is the best and lowest cost way to discover VR. Because it only allows for 2 degrees of freedom (Up, Down, Right and left) it isn't really for playing games in VR. It is much more like watching TV except that you have been transported through the screen and are totally immersed in what you are viewing. How real is it? Well if you get queasy on a real roller coaster, then you will get that same feeling riding a roller coaster in VR with the Go. Because of what your eyes see and your ears hear, your brain fills in the sense of motion and you can almost feel the G forces. You do sense motion. I recommend that you are seated when you try the Oculus Go for the first time. I picked one of the available home screens that has you overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. You are fine until you look down and see that you are about 40 feet above the ground with nothing underneath you and your brain thinks you should be falling. In that moment your sense of balance is disrupted, your body disregards that you are physically supported in the real world and you will start to fall over if not safely seated. That's how real this is. The Go is a very well designed and built headset with great attention to detail (Form, Fit and Function). Nothing else comes close to this remarkable experience for $200.00. Think about being in this video, flying with the Blue Angels. photo attached. Video available on Youtube.

Wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up. I watched a 360 video and was blown away. Watched Blue a velociraptor and felt like Jeff Gold Blume I was there. This has taken watching videos to the next level at a low cost entry fee.

Awesome and Readily Immersive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This standalone version is so much better than the VR connector to your phone. This is ready to go wherever you are without the risk of damaging your phone. From Netflix to Roller Coasters this is an all in one must have!!

I would recommend the Oculus Go to anyone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oculus Go is hands down the best product I have ever purchased. It is absolutely AMAZING for anyone of any age. I get butterflies in my stomach while on the roller coasters as if I was really on one. Everything you go to seems super realistic. I would definitely recommend everyone get the Oculus Go...

meh. Good concept, great potential, falls flat
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on a sale. I wouldn’t have paid full price and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s a good entry into VR if you don’t pay too much. PROS: -Self contained: you don’t need a $200+ graphics card and to be tethered to a computer. -Integrated audio sounds decent and has a 3D feel. -Head tracking seems to be pretty accurate CONS: -Resolution and picture quality isn’t great, but on par with the price point. -32 gigs of storage goes quick with high quality 360 videos and games - No SD card slot for upgrading storage - Everyone can hear your audio, too. There is a headphone jack, but NO Bluetooth option. Seems like a glaring omission that’d expected. - The wireless controller has good tracking and battery life, but there’s only one, limiting the games you can play. Also, the touch pad is a bit sensitive so I often accidentally scroll when I’m just trying to click. - Battery life is is OK for minimal use, but won’t last too long on the road. - OVERHEATING! This is my biggest gripe. I’ve had mine overheat regularly and often after only 20 min into a movie on the PlexVR app. I’ve done some research and it turns out tons of people have overheating issues with this thing. There’s even a number of DIY hacks to cool it down, all of which look clunky and shouldn’t be required. I’m keeping mine, but only because I got such a great price for it and I will probably only use it sparingly once the novelty wears off. I use it to test my homemade 360 videos, too. Otherwise, I would have sent it back on day one of use.

Q: QuestionIs there support for additional microSD? I have a 256G card that I would plug in if available. 32G is pretty small
Asked by SisqoKid.
- A:Answer No. At this time, Go only offers those two internally limited configs. HOWEVER, I use a free app called Skybox to reach out to my PC's storage (more and bigger HD's). You simultaneously run the prog on both devices and point to your Skybox "Movie" folder on the PC where it is stored or your Windows "Video" folder, wherever, and you're good to go, no pun intended. Likewise, you can store the movie(s) on your smartphone if you don't have a wifi router. Then there are apps like Plex or Kodi that can also extend your storage from the PC (and I think iOS?) but I'm PC/Android myself. Personally, I consider my 32MB Go as a player only. Sure, you can fairly easily load a movie, watch it, take it off, load another, etc. But I consider the Go's internal memory as only its app storage. My media comes from a larger space like my desktop and/or my Freenas server box (with Plex). Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionDo you need a phone if not does it use a computer or like what?
Asked by Fredrickson.
- A:Answer You need a phone to set up an account and to sync downloads and such. It does NOT use a phone when in use. It is a stand alone set. Basically you use the phone to search for apps you want, select them and the headset downloads them. You do not insert the phone into it, nor are you downloading anything to your phone, nor is the phone used during operation of the VR set at all.

Q: Questiondose this need a phone, and dose in need wifi?
Asked by superty21.
- A:Answer From what I read you download an app that has all the games on it and bluetooth your phone or tablet to the headset and you can pick your game from the app. There are supposedly 100s of games to choose from plus if you have movies on your device you can watch the movie with the headset. You can YouTube it and watch people explain it.
