Oculus - Touch

it always bothers me with the Rift having the better graphic but no motion controllers like the vive I also have. this completed the missing piece of the more supreme hardware set. However, be ware of the length of the cable that the rift has if you are going for room scale with 3rd sensor. make sure you get the extension cable for hdmi and usb 3.

These controllers are amazing. They are very intuitive and they have multiple sensors throughout. When you let go of certain buttons your hands do different gestures in the game and knows exactly what's going on and tracks it perfectly. This is exactly what the Oculus needed to be the best VR system out there. Right now when you purchase this with the Oculus you get 7 free games. The best one so far is Robo recall it is awesome and I'm coming from a PS VR on the PS Pro

If you have the Oculus Rift and are using the Xbox controller, put that thing away. If you want to be immersed into your VR experience, you absolutely must have the Touch controllers. I recommend another sensor, too. The controllers are comfortable and I like the sensors that recognize your index finger and thumb positioning for in-game pointing and thumbs.

I have loved my Oculus system since I got it, and so has my son. We've even packed it up and taken it to some friends houses and family member's houses, to try. Using the little controller, or the Xbox controller, worked fine, and I never really felt like anything was missing. The first time I set these up, I was blown away. It was like a missing piece, that I hadn't even KNOWN was missing, suddenly snapped into place. These opened a whole new realm of VR. Now the experience is even MORE immersive than it was previously, and the ability to "see" your hands and grab and manipulate things is just amazing. The bundled software for sculpting and drawing is mind boggling if you set yourself up for room scale VR like we did. Three sensors and extension cables for the head set, and it's just stunning what you can do with these. It even allows you to "draw" a fenceline to help protect yourself in VR so you know where the boundaries of the play area are. If you like the Oculus, these are simply a must have. It takes the VR to an entirely new level.

Decided to get the Oculus Rift when the Touch controllers were available. Thanks to a large number of early titles not being compatible with the new Touch controllers I've had to use the remote and the xbox controller for comparison. It goes without saying that no one goes through life whipping out an xbox controller for everyday interactions like picking up a weapon or a bottle or a knife. So, the touch controllers are a very good leap forward for a VR world. I found the tracking to be about 98% spot on. Sometimes with certain titles the quality of movement is a little shaky but you can certainly count on more and more titles being perfectly in tune with Touch. Once you get used to which one is right and which one is left by picking them up enough times, it really is quite simple to go from xbox controller to grabbing the Touch controllers hanging by the wrist straps without even taking the Rift headset off. Nicely done Oculus.

This is a must have if you own the rift headset without Touch. having your hands present in Virtual Reality completely transforms the experience. every rift game worth the time and money will require the use of touch, so if you did not get these with a bundle they are well worth the purchase.

I recently picked up the Touch controllers as part of the $400 promotion. I am so glad I did. They are very high quality, you can feel that the first time you touch them. They are also very comfortable, they fit my hands quite nicely. In game, they are so helpful for immersion, much better than then Xbox One controller. Shooters are particularly fun, since you now can see your hands in front of you, moving in the headset just as they are moving in real life. In summary, if you are getting a Rift, you have to get the Touch controllers, they add that much to the immersion.
