The standard Office suite is just what I need. Additional programs means paying for things that I won’t use. The 2021 versions are compatible with forward and backward versions. Best of all… pay once at a very fair price. No yearly fees, no annoying messages to renew or upgrade. Buy it, use it. Many retailers do not offer this. I love that Best Buy does, and have bought this for all my family’s computers.

I had Home Microsoft Office before and had to purchase it again for a new replacement laptop. The newer version comes with a nice PowerPoint, which is nice if you have to do some pictorial client or meeting presentations. I use and like the Excel spreadsheets and Word software for my consulting work. I wish Microsoft would let you transfer the prior functional Office software from a damaged laptop or computer so I wouldn't have had to purchase it again with a replacement laptop

What else can be said other than Office is Office. Bought this to replace Office 2010. Let me tell you, a decade of quality of life improvements really adds up. Especially the new dark mode. The are two downsides I see this this. One is the fact that the product key is now printed on the receipt (which fades, crumples, or gets lost easily) instead of the card, which is purely an annoyance for when you might need to reinstall or exchange the license to another PC for whatever happens. (An edge case, but it does happen). The other downside is I remember a time when Microsoft would sell Office as a group of three licenses as fairly standard, and this single license is definitely more expensive than it used to be (on a per license basis).

It's the office we know and love and we don't have to pay a rental fee. It's one and done. However, if you need one drive to store everything, you pay extra once you hit the max. If you back-up elsewhere, it's not an issue.

I actually bought my laptop to create documents and Microsoft Office is what I needed. It has been several years since I worked with Microsoft Office, and boy has it changed, all for the good! I haven't explored it a whole lot yet, but i definitely will!

I have been using some version of it for personal use since the day it was born. I don't like the fact that they appear to be trying to turn it into a subscriber service and are pushing you toward saving to the cloud. Being able to save to the cloud may be great for those that split their work between home and the Office but not for myself.

Term papers, spreadsheets, presentations, Microsoft Office does it all. Not confusing, logical, easy to learn and use. But, if you have never used an earlier version of Office, you might want to pick up a copy of "Office for Dummies" to acclimate yourself.
