There aren't many "new" monitors that are being manufactured at this odd performance point: a 32" 1440p monitor. I got it to accompany my new NVIDIA GTX 1080. I didn't want to invest in another card for the full 4k experience and felt like 1440p was just the right place. Monitor is fantastic. Haven't had any trouble running my NVIDIA card at 75hz. Obviously, FreeSync doesn't work but it looks fantastic! Great colors, big size... all in all, very satisfied for the performance at this price. ($379)

Upgraded my sons tv to a monitor for his pc and xbox. Kept coming back to this one after looking at a few. Everything looks very good and freesync was a bonus....

This is the 32 inch HP you should get. HP makes 4 versions of this a silver with average speakers, a black with average speakers (both branded as pavilion, then an Silver unit with high end speakers branded as ENVY.. All three of those are 60hz panels..this unit is a 75hz freesync capable panel (though if you use freesync I suggest reprogramming the floor to 35hz from 48). In 1992 the ISO (international standards organization) mandated that all CRT monitors needed to be 72hz which is why most were in the early 90s, including early flat panels , then in the late 90s early 2000s some manufactures convinced them to lift the standard and instill a new one through VESA that utilized a formula that (almost no matter what data you plug in) comes back with a mandated minimum of 60hz.. the reason was so they could use cheaper components in the panels. When it comes to HZ the minimum should be 72hz to lessen eye strain and flicker.(tons of research has been done) some people need even more. While this panel lacks speakers the 75 hz capability is important. For a VA panel the color is fairly good about 95% of my pro level IPS panel and response time is good for a VA panel of this size. You will enjoy the extra space pixel size is the same as a 24inch 1080p (you just get more space with 2560*1440.
