Great Gaming PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flawless!! I play Diablo & WOW. This machine runs the games with graphics all the way up flawless. Has a power supply that will support upgrades such as Processer & Graphics card if wanting to upgrade later. Also can upgrade to more ram as well. So worth the money. A must buy!! Also the way it has color changing lights is so much fun. lol

Power Gaming Gets More Affordable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've mostly been a console gamer for the past several years and this was my first chance to try out a higher end desktop PC that is designed with gaming in mind. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance. This system is good for the PC gamer that doesn't like to build their own towers. The cost is reasonable considering the specs, as you can run any game out there and not have issues with frame rate. I won't get into the specs, as you can see them in the item description. I loved the adjustable lighting feature on the tower. I set the lighting to mirror the temperature of the CPU so I could tell if the system was running too hot. This helped me ensure I had decent ventilation around the tower and wasn't overworking the processor. The lights never went red, even when running some of the more graphic intensive games out there. This unit comes with a basic optical mouse and keyboard. I was not a fan of the keyboard. While it was sleek and stylish, the keys are far too short and small (like a Mac keyboard) and I would make many typos with it. Fortunately, most PC users have a USB keyboard that we like already so this was not an issue for me. If you need a gaming PC and don't know how or don't care to Frankenstein your own together, I highly recommend the HP Omen. HP does a great job of combining enough RAM, processing power, and graphical power at a price that is easy on the wallet.

Not just for Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Omen 870-224 desktop celebrates my return to the world of PC gaming. For many years, I've stuck to consoles and used my Mac desktop for other pursuits. I got a taste for Windows 10 using my work laptop and really liked the capabilities, so when I was looking for a powerhouse desktop, I looked at the HP Omen 870-224 model. For starters, this thing is a beast when it comes to specs at the price point it's at. For $800 you get the following specs: * Intel Core i5 3 GHz Kaby Lake Quad Core * 8GB DDR4 RAM * 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive * 3GB GeForce GTX 1060 The motherboard and case also come with a variety of ports to connect all your devices. The case itself is an attractive brushed aluminum and the built-in HP Omen app lets you customize the lighting on the front of the case. Right now, I've got it set based on CPU temp to keep an eye on how it responds to gaming and video encoding. That brings me to the other reason why I wanted a powerful desktop. I also create videos for communication, training and web delivery for my work and need something a bit stronger than the basic laptop they gave me. I've used Premier Pro CC and Handbrake on this thing and it encodes movies at least 2-3x faster. As you can see from the screenshot, the first game I put on here to test it out was Doom 4. I got Doom 4 when it came out on the PS4 and it always made my PS4 sound like it was about to lift off from all the fan noise. I started playing Doom 4 on this - and even maxed out the video specs to "High" or "Ultimate" and all the while, this thing stayed super quiet and the light on the front stayed a solid green, which meant the air flow cooling was keeping the system working fine. No stuttering or lag to worry about here! I've also kinked it up to my Microsoft account to get the developer previews to test those out - even running a beta version of Windows, this thing still hums along rock-solid. My only real gripe with the desktop was actually the keyboard and mouse it came with. This machine is touted as a gaming PC, yet HP chose to package it with a basic USB mouse and keyboard. So if you're really serious about gaming, get yourself a good keyboard with backlights and a better mouse. If you want convenience over functionality, then go with any of the MS wireless keyboard and mouse combos. The basic set this desktop comes with is the same as you'd see at an entry level price point. All-in-all, this desktop is a solid performer that gives my iMac a run for it's money in terms of form, function and experience. If you're a solid Windows fan that wants to game and be able to do other more intensive projects, this is the desktop for you!

Gaming Beast!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gaming desktop from HP (Omen 870-224) is awesome all over. Lets talk aesthetics first: -The case is elegant, with very nice ambient lights, and above all, its not your average bulky gaming case, but it gives you all the options of expansions you expect from a high end expandable gaming case. -It is also super silent although it has giant fans. Expansion and ports available: -The mother board is the Odense 2-K with the H170 chipset which is UATX form factor. -It has 2 DDR4 slots for Ram, this desktop comes with one slot used by an 8 GB DDR4 Ram, so you can add more. -The CPU is the latest Core I5-7400, also expandable to the newest I7 -It has a 1 TB SATA HDD with 7200RPM installed (you can add more as you wish. (I will be swapping the hard drive with 2 SSD drives with 480 GB capacity each) - The board is also packed with a very advanced BT/ Wireless/ Gigabit network card. - The case has 7 USB ports, 4 of them are USB3 - 3 HDMI ports- 2 on the MB and 1 on the VGA card (this one comes with a true 4K resolution output) - 7 in 1 memory card reader - The display card is the mighty NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 (3GB DDR5) that comes with a dual link DVI port and 3 display ports & 1 4K HDMI output port. - Your everyday DVD writer (vertical position) Performance: This is where things gets AMAZING! I hooked the case to my 65 inch 4K TV via HDMI cable plugged into the VGA card, using a wireless keyboard and touchpad from Logitech to turn this gaming pc into a Gaming/ Media center at home. The most noticeable thing beside the amazing performance of this piece of beauty is how silent it is. The case is well built and ventilation is very well designed. The case has a huge 500 WATT power supply, and a fan mounted on the back of the case, in addition to the fan and heat sink installed on the VGA card itself. With all that, when playing really demanding games with all display features turned on to the max, this PC remained silent. I have been using the PC for a couple of days now and It is easily offering a matching performance to my PS4 and beating my PS3 with ZERO lag or any other issues. The 4K experience is also mind blowing when using the PC instead of my smart Tv’s own engine. I have not yet tested the GTX 1060 3D video performance, but I am sure it will be great. This PC is customizable, and can last at least another 3 years of gaming as is, and when needed you can upgrade the VGA, CPU, Ram, and HDD. This will give you another 3 years of high performance at least. I am very happy with this PC and I totally recommend it to anyone who is into gaming and have a relatively small space for a case. The Omen comes with a wired keyboard and mouse.

Q: QuestionCan it run GTA 5 on this pc and can you buy any type of ram and replace it or it has to be a certain kind of ram and reason why I'm asking because I'm kind of new to pc
Asked by Thebossman.
- A:Answer Computer Memory is picky and needs to be matched. It appears that this PC is running DDR4 2133Mhz. You will need to find memory to match this, the problem being it may not work with the existing 8Gb stick that comes pre-installed with the computer. Different brands do not always work with each other even when they are built to the same specifications. It might be worth a shot to try but the only sure way is to find what RAM is supported by the motherboard and to purchase 2 sticks to install while replacing the factory installed. It appears this machine only has 2 slots for RAM. So you could look for two 8 or two 16 Gb stick of RAM to install.

Q: QuestionOut of the two PC's you sell which one is better and why CyberPowerPC - Gamer Ultra Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - 8GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580 - 1TB Hard Drive - Black Model: GUA2600BST
Asked by Pop.
- A:Answer I just returned a CyberPower Ultra Gamer to Best Buy and exchanged it for the HP. After 4 months the CyberPower started shutting off by itself. Just for my own curiosity I checked out CyberPowers record on honoring its warranty. Before you buy a CyberPower, Google : " CyberPower warranty issues ". You will be stunned by what you read. Get the HP. I got the distinct impression BB knows about the issues with CyberPower which is why they gave me an exchange after 4 months.

Q: QuestionIf i wanted to down the road can i change the graphics card to a gtx 1080 and change the prosseser to an i7 with no issues
Asked by Tiller181.
- A:Answer I put a GeForce 1080 into mine no problems. CPU upgrade I don't know, usually motherboards accommodate i5 and i7 both, but whether we're talking 1151 or what kind of CPU socket I don't know, and this is critically important when selecting an upgrade.

Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You have to buy an adapter, it happen the same to me, it look like there is only 1 hdmi connection and the other are display ports so, for you to be able to connect the oculus you need an adapter... Idk why Best Buy sell this bundle if at the end you have to buy an adapter, thes worst part they do not tell that... :(

Q: QuestionDoes this computer come with a keyboard and mouse?
Asked by MariusP24.
- A:Answer Yes - BUT in my opinion both are the worst I've ever used. They do not have a good "feel" and keyboard spacing/configuration is different than any I've ever used (I've worked in IT for over 30 years). I suspect anyone who buys this system will replace both the keyboard and mouse relatively soon.
