Purchased for my parents as a gift and for a basic 2ch. System. Easy to set up and very good sound with straight forward controls/adjustments.

I've been into audio nearly all my life. Most of the gear in my main audio rig is handmade in the US (or modified). But I wanted something affordable for my computer audio. I chose the Onkyo because it uses a linear power supply and a discrete transistor power amp section. This is good design and hard to believe at this price point. Also bought because it has real speaker wire binding post, not the spring loaded ones, so I can use good quality cables. Has a pre-amp out for a sub. I like that it has real knobs for tone and balance, not requiring remote. Does not have stereo mini phone input, so requires adapter cable. Driving $2500 studio monitors.....it sounds better than it has any right to. This is a really fun little setup. I had a Sony, that I believe is basically same electronically, but broke the speaker wire connectors. I like the Onkyo's controls better. This is truly a Best Buy

I didn't need blue tooth or USB connectivity so I purchased the TX8020. I'm very pleased with the sound and easy to use controls, remote and back end connections. I paired the TX8020 with a pair of Klipsch R-15M speakers for knock dead sound at both low and high volume.
