Best gaming latency. Great picture quality. Would be better if it didn't need to be 14 inches from wall for Max size but I guess that's normal.

I have been installing custom home theater and commercial A/V since 1998. The picture quality is pretty good. We do also have the Optima GT1090HDRx being used in the garage as a golf simulator. The first thing I did was shoot it side by side with that model. Overall quality of image was better in 4k but the GT1090HDRx is not a native 4k resolution projector, so not really apples to apples on that comparison. The CinemaX D2 won in picture quality side by side but the GT1090HDRx was noticeablely brighter. To be fair the GT1090HDRx does have 4200 Lumens so I was not expecting the CinemaX D2 to be as bright. However, I was hoping to use it in our playroom with some lights on or at least dim to 50%. The CinemaX D2 was not as bright as I thought it would be. I want to help cut down the ambient light with a ALR screen, but can not for this installation. I wanted to mount the projector on the ceiling up out of the way of the kids and of course much safer for their eyes. You do not want kids looking into the laser from up close. ALR screens will block light from above which does not help in this case with the projector on the ceiling. I do wish someone made an ALR with 135 degrees from the floor blocking out the Ambient light. This would allow for short throw and Ultra Short Throw Projectors to be ceiling mounted and up out of the way. The other issue we have is the sound from the Projector’s speakers. It was horrible, even the kids asked why the sound was so bad. It should be at least as good as the 55” Samsung TV I was replacing. I am not looking for THX or Atmos quality, but for the price point it could be way better. If the projector did work then I would have been forced to install a sound bar. Back to the drawing board.
