Got this to go with my outdoor projector screen and it works amazingly well. It’s super bright with great color. Love the ability to have a 4K HDR signal go into the projector and project a 1080p HDR image out.

So the new basement needed some life with a new projector. The old used Dell was great for that occasional movie in a dark basement but now it was time for an upgrade. I spent weeks doing research and finally decided to get this one - here's the reasons why. 1. 50,000:1 contrast ratio. Why is that good? To put it in layman's terms - it makes blacks black and dark reds dark reds, it makes so many different shades of white it's amazing. For example, watching football - a team with a white jersey isn't all white, you can see small details. Watching TV that has an outdoor scene with the sun isn't washed out bright, you can make out the detail in the sky very nicely. 2. Needed to make sure the projector would work perfectly with all the lights on. Painted the wall with premium Behr pain - PPU18-20 - BROADWAY. Its not 100% black, more of a dark gray. This paint worked perfectly and the projector has settings for what color you're projecting on and adjusts itself. 136in diagonal image with all the lights on and default settings out of the box it looks amazing. A few color, contrast, brightness adjustments and you're golden. You do start to lose brightness in the corners at this size. The coverage is about 80% of the screen. Not bad at all! 3. HDR mode - perfect for the Xbox and HDR movies. 4. 4k - sort of. It will accept a 4k resolution signal but the projector will display it at 1080p. BUT, the image looks amazing. Same movie in 4k and 1080p is noticable in terms of image quality. Testing with YouTube 4k sample videos will nock your socks off. 5. Dynamic brightness - it will increase and decrease the bulb mode as needed. A really useful feature. 6. Plenty of color menu options to play around with and tweak. Love that it has the color temperature setting, set to warm and it's on par with the 4k tv upstairs. 7. Refresh rate - I believe the specs is 60hz, but watching anything on I don't see any ghosting - images are really smooth. Now, to the things I don't like about it. 1. Switching inputs is slow, going from the Nvidia shield to Comcast takes forever. Sometimes I think it's locked up but it just takes ~10 seconds to switch inputs. 2. The remote - terrible. Design is bad - the buttons are so bright and there's no way to change it. It's as bright as my phone's display when set to Max brightness. It also is a PITA to use - you literally have to be right under the projector for it to reach. Thought it was the batteries at first but after changing them out no difference. All in all, I love this projector and it's money well invested. Would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

I researched a lot when I thought of buying a projector. After spending many hours, I couldn't arrive at anything conclusive, all reviews were confusing. So bought this based on my gut feeling and honestly have not regretted the decision at all. Been about 2 months and have used this with a chromecast, fire tv stick, macbook over HDMI and the xbox as well. It has not let me down. 1. No issue with display, can watch during daytime with my window binds open. (a little darker atmosphere enhances the view though) 2. Gaming has been awesome. Just cause 3, GTA,forza horizon, battlefield and red dead redemption, so almost all genre's covered. No lag at all. 3. Fire stick/chromecast is a delight to use. 4. Inbuilt sound is OK and does the needful but I have external speakers hooked up for a better experience. Have run into this small issue a couple of times though: If I forget to power on my external speakers before I start the projector, I cannot get the sound to redirect to the speakers in any way that I try, they will play only from the built in speakers. Only way to fix this is to switch off the projector, power on the external speakers first and then switch on the projector. (One star reduced because of this issue, else is a 5 star product)
