Stunning Graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ori and the Blind Forest is the most beautiful game that I've ever played. The visuals an the soundtrack are the best thing that I've ever seen in a video game. The story and characters are simple but are so well written with the music and visuals that the game is going to make you care about these characters to the point to where you will be crying throughout the cut scenes. The story teaches the viewer on how to have a good heart and that you should show kindness to others in ways that will change your perspective on how you view the world. The game is that well executed in its making. However, this stunning masterpiece unfortunately doesn't come with out its flaws. The gameplay is so frustratingly hard and unfun at some points that it will make you swear a lot and throw down your controller. The save points are also really confusing at first that the game made me start over at other hard parts all over again. For the most part the gameplay is actually really fun, especially when you achieve cool special abilities that you can use through out the game. The game all in all is truly a breathtaking masterpiece in every way possible. I really wish I could give this game a 10/10 but some parts were just way too hard and over cumbersome, that, I feel like should not have been in the game. Everything that is right with this game makes up for those unfun parts

Great Adventure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a pretty fun game overall. Good music, good scenery, good story. It was surprisingly difficult at times playing on the second hardest setting and I am not sure if I can complete the one-life mode but there are easier settings if you like to relax more. The only negative I can say is trying to get the achievement to explore 100% of the areas. A lot of them are stuck around 95%+ and I have no idea where to go to get the last amount.

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the precise platforming to the wonderful artstyle, the beautiful music and heart wrenching story, this is simply a game you should not miss. Thankfully they were wise enough to release a disc otherwise I would have. The difficulty curve is high in some sections, but definitely achievable. Easily one of the very few games worth owning an X1 for.

Amazing, but HARD, 2D Platformer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2D platformers on todays console seem to be a dying breed, so I was excited to try Ori and the Blind Forest after seeing all the stellar reviews. The game is beautifully designed and the animations are fantastic. Aside from the narrator (the Spirit Tree), there is no dialogue from the characters or enemies. That said, you will get emotionally invested in the small cast of characters and there are even a few tear jerking scenes throughout. With all that out of the way.... the game is HARD. The developers clearly had retro 2D games in mind when they made this. You won't get automatic checkpoints or a lot of hand-holding. You can create you own save points (thankfully) but you're penalized in doing so as they take up your spirit meter (which you need for other things). Even then, there are long, difficult sequences where you can only save at the beginning of it and end. You will get frustrated doing those sections over and over. But on the bright side it's very rewarding to complete. This game comes with the original version and the updated definitive version. If you're new to Ori or not great at challenging platformers, I'd recommend playing the definitive version first as there were some changes made to make the game slightly easier. In the end, I really enjoyed this game and I recommend it to everyone; not just older gamers who miss challenging 2D platformers.

A must own for xbox one owners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a beautiful masterpiece. Platforming at its best. I may be a bit biased because I love the metroidvania genre, and Super Metroid is my favorite game ever. But this game is truly that good! The atmosphere, the art, the score, everything is woven together beautifully. You won't get a better game at this price. Tight controls, fun platforming gameplay. I can't recommend it enough. I waited years hoping it would get a physical release, and it's finally here! Buy it!

Great, beautiful game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The art work on this game is phenomenal. It's not a super easy game (the definitive version has some cool options like "warping" and easy level). You die a lot. But I would say kids could play this game if their game savvy (like, maybe 12?) but really young kids might have trouble with it. I've played this twice and really, really like it. I would recommend it. Storyline is interesting. Great, beautiful game overall.

Perfect game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know what to say. This game is perfect. The visuals are breathtaking. The story is emotional and deep. The gameplay is smooth but familiar. You will no trouble just playing it if you know sidescrollers. I can't recommend the game enough. This is a game that is on par with Dust: Elysian Tale. This is how games should be made. With so much care and devotion, I hope we see more like this in the future.

Amazing Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up on a chance and was delighted! This game is a ton of fun. The graphics and sound are absolutely amazing. It comes with a music CD bonus, and it makes great background music. This game has won a number of awards and it is easy to see why. If you enjoyed the SNES Super Metroid, this game is for you. Easy controls, but great gameplay makes this a winner. Best game I have played all year.
