Great online support
||Posted .I highly recommend this service to others. My laptop was running very slow and some programs wouldn't even run anymore. I also had to remove a lot of old personal data. I could've done the cleanup myself but the convenience of the service and the price for it was worth it. The Geek Support technician was able to dial remotely into my computer and do all the necessary cleanup and fine-tuning. It took a couple of hours but I since I did not have to be there the entire time, I was able to take care of other errands. The computer is once again usable and fast.

||Posted .I have been a loyal Best Buy customer, but that has ended. I was having random shut downs with my laptop, contacted the geek squad via remote repair/tune-up. My computer was remotly controlled by the tech. and after 7 hours+ I noticed nothing happening, and no reply from the agent?? I called questioning the lack of anything- was told to bring my laptop to the store, not being told that I needed an appt for the Geeks- The next day another 1+ waiting only to find they cant do anything regarding my remote session?? 2+ hours later... Home again- long storey short after another 3hrs of calls and being on terminal hold, I demanded a refund- put on hold again, and was told in a short snippy way- my refund should be posted to my account in 5-7 days... Beyond Poor Customer Service.

"30-day money-back guarantee" Misleading
Posted .I am a long-time customer of Best Buy who spends thousands of dollars a year there, so unfortunately, I trusted the guarantee. Nothing is guaranteed. My computer is worse than before and don't believe they performed all tasks on the list. They certainly couldn't support that the tasks were performed in my phone conversations. I was disappointed, bought a new computer and attempted to get a refund. I was told the guarantee means they "stand by the work that they did" so there would be no refund regardless of the benign or negative impact of their work. Not sure the value of that if my computer is worse than before. I asked what the "money-back guarantee" means and they offered to work on my computer again. I asked several times what the money-back guarantee meant and they said they would look into it/investigate this case and email me with 48 hours. If they aren't sure what "money-back" means, you shouldn't be either. At best it seems misleading, at worst dishonest.

||Posted .Had access to my laptop for 4 hours, Was not notified when completed, Cannot tell any difference in it's operation. Still being charged and have yet to receive any info as to what was found and or what was corrected. Hard to communicate!

Waste of money
||Posted .My computer was turning itself off soon after I started it up, not sure what the problem is but I explained all of this to the tech. She said they could remotely fix it, so I paid for it. After it was completed she said they set up a restoration point. The problem still is not fixed, I tried to restore it. Still did not work. It will no longer stay on long enough for me to try anything else.

Q: QuestionHow would I know if my laptop needs a tune up or diagnostic and repair. If i pick the tuneup and it needs a repair would I have to then purchase that package is there a way for them to tell u what services you need so you can pick that service.

They discarded a couple of programs that were virus protection that loaded with Catalina and some other things. Computer now runs like new.
