A: as far as what was at my local best buy, none of the otter box cases they had fit. I purchased an ipad mini 4 for my daughter for Christmas so decided to get an otter box to go with it. the sales person said the otter box that says ipad mini 1, 2 and 3 will fit an ipad mini 4...... IT DOES NOT. returned it, got an off brand ( but an awesome one ) instead.

A: Ask one of the customer specialists to actually retrieve a case and have them make sure it fits. We had to bring back our Otter Case because it was not the right size. We later had the customer specialist make sure the new case would fit.

Does an excellent job protecting my Ipad Mini.
I use my Ipad for field work. The Otterbox does a great job protecting my Ipad from accidents and weather.

No Light Sabre here, only a battle axe
I am a huge fan of Otterbox products and I own 3 presently and one previously. The Defender series converts the thin, almost Light Sabre like, iPad 3 into the Roadwarrior equivalent of a battle axe. I think it could be hurled at a would-be assailant in a defensive maneuver. I do not condone violence, I am just suggesting the heft of this product is substantial when encased in the defender. I love it and I have one similar for my iphone and iPad mini. The Roadwarrior likes to be matchy matchy.

Keep iPad safe
My 1.5 yr old uses the iPad from time to time. It didn't have a case but when he dropped it from his high chair, we new it was time to protect the expense electronic. We decided to go with the Otterbox due to its durability. We wanted something that protected the iPad from all angels, including the screen. This was the only case that we found which also had a screen cover. Now, when my son drops the iPad it is safe and secure. The only thing I don't like is the other piece...maybe it's because I don't know what it's for or how to use it (see picture below).
