OtterBox phone covers have never let me down. I’ve tested them repeatedly with falls on wood floors and cement with no damage. I really like the small cover over the charging receptacle that keeps dirt and dust out, however, 6 months along and that little cover has broken off from use. My phone is a fairly new 13 mini and holds a good charge so I’m not over using it. Hence the loss of one star in this review. I would still highly recommend it!

This OtterBox Defender is unlike their classic model. There is on plastic screen cover and it doesn't come with a belt clip. At the discounted price I paid, I think it was a very good value though (see star rating). The case is two pieces that snug the phone firmly into place and feels very comfortable to hold. It's not easy to make this happen, but once it's done it's not going to come apart very easily either. Sadly, Apple's design doesn't let the phone's accent colors show up except around the camera lens rings and the exposed ringer on/off switch. I haven't tried the MagSafe feature yet, so I can't comment on that.

Love this case! Probably one of my favorite otterbox cases I’ve owned and I’ve been using otterbox cases for a while now. It’s sturdy, not too bulky like the traditional ones, MagSafe works amazing (just snaps onto the chargers and the magnet is pretty strong). The reason I’m giving 4 stars is bc the outer frame doesn’t flush with the case nor the phone. And when I say that it’s hard to see, but you can see dust accumulate on the edges, and that’s kinda when you know what’s going on. Another challenge is to basically putting your phone in it. It’s tricky but once you do, it fits pretty snug. Overall, I would say this is a must have if you want to keep your phone safe for a long time.
