For a $200 head unit, this unit does what it needs to. Let me outline some problems: First, the iOS connectivity is limited relative to the android connectivity. If I were to guess, I'd say that the developers put more effort there and gave up when they couldn't bring it over to iOS, which is unfortunate. Without a lot of extra money, many features will not work, so do your research if buying to connect to an iPhone. Second: As a Spotify premium user, it's frustrating when the system wants to default to Pandora - this needs to be a setting. HOWEVER: I used this to replace the stock head unit in my jeep. I will say that for $200, I got a lot more than I would have expected for cheaper than a factory upgrade to a still substandard device. Overall I'm pleased, but JVC needs to manage expectations better on the packaging. I was tempted to return the device for missing features that, by the time I upgraded, I could have just bought a carplay head unit.

Works well with my pioneer double din. Only problem is the center button on my grand cherokee steering wheel doesnt respond on demand. I have to press the buttons a few times for it to work. It happened on my sph-da120 and my pionner avh-4200. I changed the radio station button to my upper and lower buttons and it works perfectly. But the middle button thats located in the middle of the upper and lower buttons on the steering wheel doesnt respond when you press on it. You need to click it a few times before it works. But since you have the option to use the upper and lower buttons to change channels makes it all good. Must have to change radio stations and volume on steering wheel. You will regret it if you skip this option and go with the cheaper harness.

I ordered a wiring harness from Crutchfield that their website said fit my truck. After hours of wasted time trying to figure out with a multimeter where my problem was, I put the factory radio back in and drove to Best Buy. I got the right part and everything went together quick, easy and worked right the first time. I have done many car stereos both for myself, friends and family. Crutchfield was a trusted company that let me down big time on this one. I was impressed Best Buy knew what the right part was and they had it in stock. Now I have a radio with bluetooth so I can safely answer phone calls while driving.

I purchased this because I was adding an aftermarket DVD system to my minivan. I purchased a Metra(famous in the aftermaket world for install kits, adapters, and harnesses) OE replacement stereo. It does most of what it is supposed to do, interface with the CAN bus system (parking break, reverse, accessory power connection). The install was relatively simple, but I was unable to retain steering wheel control because the steering wheel control modules on my head unit were incompatible with the connection from this unit. Steering wheel support is only supported for certain brand names. I just wish that was known up front or I would I have probably purchased the less expensive interface that did not retain stereo controls.

I got this harness in order to install an aftermarket radio in my Jeep and I wanted to keep the steering wheel controls functioning. It installs pretty easily, though the problem I have with adding anything to the radio is the huge mass of wires that comes along with it, but a little wire tape goes a long way to fix that. Ultimately, I ended up going with another product because after I installed it, I found out that it doesn't allow certain functions to be retained (uconnect, factory backup camera, etc.). If those don't matter to you then I say its a great product.

The salesman told me when I bought the stereo that the kit would be "about 50 bucks". Turned out it was over $100., which I found out when I came in for the installation appointment. By then I had already given the stereo to my daughter for a Christmas gift, so I was stuck. It felt like a bait and switch. I'm recommending it only because it is a necessary component of the stereo.

I was disappointed that I was required to use this more expensive harness for my installation rather than the less expensive one. Sure, it has great features like the ability to integrate the built in steering wheel Controls, but my vehicle doesn't have those, so it's feeling like a little waste of money at this point. Didn't really have a choice though

I went to the store told them my YEAR make and model they sold me the part. It works and all but as I was Installing it the paperwork went on to say that this part only works the radio steering wheel controls for up to 2013 and my truck is a 2015. Huge disappointment as that was my main reason for the purchase..well there goes 100 dollars down the drain.
