This is one of the few albums in the past 5 years that I've listened to and instantly fell in love with. I'm not sure if the album was meant to be a bit of a joke (Josh Homme of QOTSA goes by Carlo Von Sexron), but even if it was, it's still amazing. It's high energy and just plain fun music. The first 3 songs really set the mood for this album, followed up by "Flames go Higher" which has been featured in trailers for Thank You For Smoking. The only song that doesn't fit the mold here is "Already Died"; it's a comparably slower song, and frankly one of my personal faves. Also, check out their impersonation of Steelers Wheel, "Stuck in the Metal With You." Sure, some of the lyrics are silly ("who'll kiss the devil"), but if you're looking for a fun rock n' roll album, this is it.
