"Grunge" rockers return with strong effort

This is Pearl jam's strongest album since 1998's "Yeild". Songs are tight and melodic, with driving rhythem lacking from some of their newer work on recent albums. It's a good mix of their best styles...solid jams, ramped up rockers and plaintive ballads. The highlights are: 1)Comatose: a quick paced, "ramones" type rocker 2) Gone: A good "getaway" tune for escaping what's bothering you 3) Inside Job: One of their best songs ever! a mid-tempo but driven tune great for roadtrips with a great intro. Overall, it's a strong effort, harkening back to the early 90's when they sold millions but kept that close, intimate feeling with their fans.

i love pearl jam but this album isn't one of their best. its more punkish/louder than normally for them. although there are some songs which i love off this cd they are life wasted and word wide suicide and i think everyone should own this cd for those 2 songs :]

After mediocre albums like Binaural and Riot Act, this album encompasses everything that makes Pearl Jam great. Brilliant songs like "Life Wasted" and "Inside Job" prove what makes Pearl Jam still one of the great bands of all time. Highly recommended.

Back to the rock that Pearl Jam is known for this self titled album delivers for all PJ super fans. Ed ved sareinades you on a dark but meaningful gone while mike absolutly goes nuts at the end of inside job. A must buy for all PJ super fans.
