Customers appreciate the brightness and ease of use of the Hue Lightstrip Plus, frequently praising its simple setup and compatibility with other smart home systems. Many also enjoy the ambiance and appearance the lightstrip creates. However, some customers find the price to be high and express concerns about the adhesive strength and the lack of Bluetooth connectivity in this particular model.
The good: 1. It's Phillips hue and works just like a hue bulb would with your hue hub (does not work with generation 1 hubs however). 2. The color is accurate, vibrant, bright, and saturated. 3. Great for a behind the tv ambilight setup if you have the hue box. 4. I do not have the hue box but it still works great while running the hue sync app from my computer and airplaying to the tv. 5. Amazon / Apple / Google compatible (as is all hue) 6. All of the other things that are good about hue lights. THE BAD: 1. This thing has less led's per meter than any strip I have ever seen. It claims there are 30 per meter but that is 100% false. I am used to 60-144 per meter however, but those are more technical/DIY type strips for intensive installations. 2. It is RGB, not "Addressable RGB" (like the hue gradient is). I think for the price, having to have all of the lights be 1 static color at a time is a RIP OFF. It would have cost them literally pennies on the dollar to give us some patterns / chasing effects...but I guess thats what the gradient strip is for (rolls eyes). 3. THE PRICE. I can't believe I spent so much on this.... I have three of them...and the outdoor one! : | 4. The sync box would make this a much better product, but the sync box is the most absurdly priced gadget I have ever seen in my life. If you are going for behind the tv with one of these, do yourself a favor and check out GOVEE RGBIC STRIPS! All that said, it's still hue, and high quality, and works very well. Just make sure that it is hidden (either out of sight or using channel diffusers) and you'll love em!

The Philips Hue lightstrip V3 (without Bluetooth) works great ! This works well with our Google Home voice commands as well. We have been looking at these for a while and finally they went on sale so we bought two sets (thank you Best Buy for shipping so fast). This version needs a Philips Hue Hub (we already had our Philips Hub setup on our network from a prior Philips light purchase). We were reading about people not having luck with the double sided tape on the back of these, but we have had great luck with them. These stick to the cabinets fine. After installing these, we had to update the software in the lightstrip controller. That took ~5 mins for each set. These lights have infinite color variations via their app. With our Google Home we can ask Google to change the color and brightness with our voice. This makes is so easy to use. We added a switch in the middle of the extension cord to help turn the lights off/on even faster (for those times Google doesn't recognize our voice). I ran out of heat shrink and had to use electrical tape - the good thing is nobody sees this so I wasn't as concerned with the appearance. The one downside is Philips does not have a way to split your lightstrip into multiple sections. We wanted to split one lightstrip set to work on both sides of our microwave, so we found some "Litcessory" connectors and extenders from another place. With Litcessory we were able to split the lightstrip in multiple places and even added some uplights above our refrigerator (bonus)! Before the lightstrip, we had hardwired round LED white puck lights underneath our cabinets for many, many years. They worked fine, but this Phiips lightstrip is so much brighter than our old puck lights. The difference between the old puck lights and these lightstrips is amazing! The ability to adjust the brightness and color makes these just great. Definitely would do this again !! Now we are looking at all the other places we can use lightstrips !!

Awesome lighting. Easy to connect and setup. You will need a bridge to control the lights through your router, i found out the hard way. Can extend up to 32’ with extensions
