Great light, just set expectations accordingly
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Operates exactly how I need it to, adding light to dimly lit parts of the house where a conventional lamp can’t be placed or adding ambiance outdoors. Only thing to be aware of is the battery life. Depending on how long you need light, the brightest setting usually only lasts 3 hours whereas the candle setting can go 9 hours continuously without recharging.

Color changing lights

Great for desk lighting and for movie viewing

I also ended up using it on top of a book shelf as a splash light for the ceiling in the same room as Hue Play Bars and our TV and it adds to the experience. Buying another!

- A:Answer This new gen is a lot better. If you have it on 100% power, yes it may last about 3 1/2 hours, but if you lower it to about 40% which is great light for putting on a table while entertaining, then it will last all night!

- A:Answer Yes you can in the Hue Application under Routines you should have wake up option. I use it every weekday Monday through Friday it really helps me wake up
