Coming from 2 previous Pioneer Elite receivers (VSX-52; SC-LX502), dating back to 2011, it was no question that I was going Pioneer Elite again. Love their menus, controllers, audio calibration, & most of all sound & video clarity/quality. Love the new Dialog option on the controller. Also, you can adjust the decibels on front, center, & sub w/o going to the home page. I'm running B&W 700 S2 Series throughout w/CCM663 for 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos. The 135W per channel is plenty of power to move the room. Best receiver I've owned & it feels like it. Until 8K is prevalent, I'm riding w/this receiver. I've never owned a Marantz, Denon or Yamaha, but I'd recommend this Pioneer Elite SC-LX704/904 to anyone.

Pioneer Elite SC-LX704 is premium audio/video at it's best. I returned Marantz SR7013 in favor of the SC-LX704. Both are good though the Elite produced more robust sound. To say it engulfs you with stage presence is an understatement. Many sound options. Vastly improved setup onscreen menu. The app is simply incredible with a multitude of customizable configurations. I have 9.2 speaker set up with Dolby Atmos speakers. I actually use 11 speakers (without pre amp) and the system still automatically switches between 9.2 or 7.2 depending on source material. Incase you are interested I am using Definitive Technology speakers BP9040. I highly recommend SC-LX704. You will be glad you got it once you hear.
