I purchased the BDP80 FP to compliment my Pioneer Elite receiver and so I could use one remote. The picture was great,and it sounded fine. I was going to replace my Marantz UD5007. The unit was noisy when loading and unloading. The receiver remote would not operate but the most basic functions. The build quality is just not Elite quality. I returned it and kept the UD5007. The BDP80 is ok and is pretty standard for the lower end.

Great blue ray player excellent picture quality easy to operate compatible with my tv and remote control, 4k wire a must males a difference.

For the price, this should have a few more Apps. Love that itll play SACDs and DVD Audio discs... Stellar video and audio quality, but should retail for 199.99 to 225.00. Since it lack quality Apps, as most players of lower cosg have! I took away 1 star for price, and lack of Apps. It really is a flawless midrange BR player....
