Great Headset for 3.5 Audio Connection
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Plantronics 355 Headset is an excellent choice for 3.5" connection to a PC or phone. It has clear stereo sound, excellent noise cancelling microphone, and comfortable headband and ear cups. It is used for video conferences and to listen to music. We've owned it for almost 2 years and it has held up well with daily use. Highly recommended.

Great sound for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received these headphones as a gift from my wife. They have a good comfortable fit and great sound response. I am a musician and I need to hear things clearly. The Plantronics 355 headset has met the mark. My wife purchased them at Best Buy during the Christmas rush and she had no problems purchasing them and everyone was kind and helpful. I would recommend the Plantronics 355 headset to anyone who listens or records music, or any gamer. I haven't played video games for quite some time but I know these would do the job well.

Good inexpensive headset ... BUT
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset for use on my computer and video calls. This headset has a double jack (1 for mic, 1 for audio) and comes with an adapter for the 3.5mm jack. First impression was that the sound was decent and clear. However, while on calls, I would be choppy and get cut off every time there was a background sound or someone else would speak. Before deciding to return I decided to give one more try and get a USB audio adapter sound card for $8 or so. It now works GREAT. Apparently the 3.5 mm jack tries plays via analog signal. Using the USB jack converts to digital and the sound and speaking works perfectly. So if purchasing, undestand in order to optimize, you will need a USB adapter for the headset.

Read this before buying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not bad as a microphone headset for the price I paid. I like the microphone and headphone, separately. There isn't any instructional manual. This package it came with a headset, a 3.5 mm adapter, warranty card, safety pamphlet, limited warranty and arbitration agreement and something in Chinese. They are all printed in Mexico. On the package, I see "Windows Compatible" but not knowing which version of Windows. In reality, it works without the adapter if you have a computer comes with both microphone and headset jacks. If you have a single jack, the adapter won't work. So, I ended up buying a USB adapter to work. If I knew this, I'd buy a USB microphone headset instead. I didn't test it on smart phone yet. Because it's not what I needed it for.

Posted .Thank you for your honest review on our .audio 355 headset. This model is intended for PC use and by default it connects to separate audio ports (one for the microphone, the other ones for the speakers) but can also be used on computers with 3.5mm headset ports and mobile devices that use the same combo jack. Please don't hesitate to contact us at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance.

Decent and inexpensive entry level Headset.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the novice or budget PC gamer looking and feeling pro is important. While most of the people you know on consoles are sporting high end Turtle Beach headsets you might be used to the simpler type you can find for Xbox and PlayStation systems. This device fills the gap between the entry level console gamer headsets and the ultra pro sets you see at LAN parties and in E3 videos. The mic has good pick up and with tuning can almost eliminate background noise. The earphones have a good pressure but don't envelop your ears in mini, personalized, sweat boxes like the bigger models can. They stay comfy even after a multi hour playing session. They sound good enough to satisfy the base requirements of most any audiophile. They adapt easily to various systems as well. Most PC gamers will insist on something from the high end but these work nearly as well for a fraction of the price. Great for newbies, budget gamers or as a backup set for the 'other' computer you have laying around.

Q: QuestionMicrophone QualityI am in the market for a headset with microphone for the purpose of creating tutorial videos at work. Although it would be a nice bonus to have high quality sound, I am more interested in the microphone sound quality. Since the videos I am creating will be viewed by my customers I'm trying to avoid sounding like I recorded the video in a tin can. How is the microphone sound quality on these headphones? What headset has the best microphone sound quality in this price range? or will it be more cost effective to go with a higher priced set?

Q: QuestionCan I plug this into myHP desktop computer to watch Webinars?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer As long as you have the green mini jack on the front, top or back of your desktop you can. The headset isn't USB, it has a pink and green mini plug, the pink for microphone and the green for headset. Windows 10 switched it over from my Creative speakers to the headset automatically. If not you would right click on the speaker icon in the lower right of your screen and pick playback, scroll down to Headphones and chose it for default. Then when you are finished you might have to go back and switch default back to your speakers. Most likely Windows will do it all for you when you plug in the green jack. Good Luck.

Q: QuestionHow does it work with a phone android?
Asked by tele.
- A:Answer Yes, the headset has dual 3.5mm audio plugs for speakers and microphone, but it includes a Y adapter that allows you to connect the headset to mobile devices. Android phones with a standard 3.5mm port are compatible.

Q: Questionis this a comfortable headset, or does it hurt after a while?
Asked by mike.
- A:Answer Much nore comfortable than ear buds but not as good as some other headsets (but they cost 5-10 times as much). I've worn them for up to 3 hours without any problem.

Q: QuestionCan I use this with my office/desk phone that has a 2.5mm plug? I have some hard of hearing issues .. would this provide adequate volume increases?
Asked by TNRedhead.
- A:Answer This headset has 3.5mm plugs, and the included adapter for combining the two plugs into a single plug is also 3.5mm. So you'd need to acquire an additional 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapter. You'd be much better off just buying a standard office phone headset, which should have a single 2.5mm plug.

Q: QuestionIs this headset compatible with Microsoft teams, telephony, and SKype for business?
Asked by liby.
- A:Answer Hi Liby! The .Audio 355 is a headset designed for Computers or laptops that have a dual 3.5mm connection for microphone and speakers. If your computer has this kind of hardware then the headset should work as long as you select it as default under Playback and recording devices. As for the mute and volume functions from the inline control, we are unable to guarantee they will work since this model was released some time ago and has already been discontinued by the manufacturer. Furthermore, Microsoft no longer supports Skype. Many of our recent models support these soft phones. Q: QuestionHow long is the mic and earphone cord?
Asked by Archie.
- A:Answer I didn't pull out a tape measure, but held up the headphones with the connection plugs on the floor and it is about a 7 ft. long cord, I use at my desk and my PCU is next to it, so plenty of cord length. I wouldn't use for wireless control gaming if wanted to sit back on the couch and look at the screen from across the room.
