Customers consistently note the excellent sound quality and comfortable design of the RIG Flex LX Wired Stereo Gaming Headset for Xbox One. Many appreciate its ability to provide a comfortable fit even during extended gaming sessions. However, some users have reported issues with the maximum volume level not being sufficiently loud. The volume control's durability has also been a concern for a few customers.

I'm very happy with this headset but it differs a little bit from the pre-release reviews. IGN & Tom's hardware both suggested the basic headset comes with a secondary in-line mic, but it seems the basic headset ($130 at my time of purchase) only included the gaming (boom) mic. I contacted Plantronics and they shipped me the additional inline mic as a result of this- I'm not sure if I got lucky or if it was actually supposed to come with my model, but it's worth trying if you're also expecting the secondary mic. Also- my gaming mic started cutting out frequently and causing static to players in my party, but this might just be the risk of me being an early adopter- since it happened within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, bestbuy let me do a full exchange. Okay, with all the negative stuff out of the way, the sound is incredible on these headphones. This is the 4th headset I've tried for xbox one and the most impressive sound I've had so far. The direction of the sound is great, very responsive, and there is a noticeable difference with the three equalizer options (though setting 2 is my favorite by far). The headset is very comfortable and sturdy, and the gaming mic is just in the right place- nobody has complained about my audio levels. The mic has a great noise-cancelling feature so it turns on every time I speak, but it never picks up background sounds or breathing. The plantronics site suggests this headset has mic monitoring, and while that's not the case currently- Microsoft announced they're trying to add mic monitoring to the xbox OS so that should be a moot point once the feature goes active. The controller adapter is great (I use the independent audio setting, which allows one wheel to control game audio and the second wheel to control player audio), the fit is perfect and it's way faster to adjust volume on this than on the official xbox adapter. Despite the up front price and a few issues at the start, I'd definitely recommend this headset.

Fit and finish of the headset is great, although I wish the mic boom was flexible. This is both a blessing and a curse, however. Sometimes, I feel more confident others can hear me if the mic were closer, but with it fixed away from my mouth, I don't sound like Darth Vader breathing. As for the adapter for the Xbox controller, the dials are loose and can move while being pretty active in competitive gaming. I'll accidentally shift the distribution of game noise and communications too far toward communications and lose some overall experience from my game. I wish they built that part better. I don't regret this purchase, but I probably won't keep it long enough to use the Best Buy warranty I bought with it either. If budget is your thing, these provide great quality sound, but if "money ain't a thang," then just get Astros.

Great headset for the everyday player! Hooked directly the the control for a one wire setup. Sounds great and comfortable for long use . Only negative is that it don't get very loud like some of the other sets available, and I wish there was a way to be able to use it without the microphone being attached for use with your phone or ipod to listen to music.
