Just remember its early access and you'll be fine

Now I started playing PUBG and it was immediately love at first sight for me. I love the style of game play, the adrenaline rush when your'e down to 15 people and counting. So as soon as I heard that PUBG was being released on console I hurried up and preordered a few copies. Now let me start by saying this game is by no means optimized for Xbox yet. But if any of you played the PC version its no really that optimized either with constant FPS drops and such. The biggest problem I have with this early access game is the FPS drops, and it always seem to happen during gunfights with multiple enemies. There is also a little draw in issue when you parachute in to a heavily populated area, but it only lasts for the first few seconds that you're on the map then everything is fine after that. If you enjoy this genre of game, or have played PUBG on PC before then I believe that this is a must own. But you need to understand that pretty much you are paying $30 for a BETA, instead of waiting and paying $60 at their full launch. SO There will be bugs and such, but the developers will constantly be working on this title. So give it a try, and have some fun. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER PS. From what I saw there are no list of controls either in the box, or in the menu in the game itself. So your first game or 2 will be you getting used to the controls, so don't get frustrated if you die right away because it will happen. The inventory is very clunky and the UI will take a little patience and getting used to but that is to be expected. There are obviously more space on a keyboard then there is on a controller so it will take a little while to get used too. Other then that its a really fun, and amazing game.

This product is an actual box with a download card inside. I liked that because for a Christmas gift I like to have something to actually wrap. My teenager plays this game on the PC and my younger son plays it on the Xbox one. Both really like it. I have not heard any cussing in the game, or anything other than violence. The game's premise is like a free for all or a squad vs. squad match-up. It's kind of like a last man standing sort of thing. You get dropped from the sky and everyone lands with no weapons. You have to find a weapon to survive. Your goal is to survive. Period. You do this, by having a strategy. You either stay put and wait it out while everybody kills each other off, or you got out there and fight. The issue is that you have a storm approaching. The storm keeps closing in (kind of like an eye of a storm), until you have a very small eye where whoever is left, battle it out until the end. If you get stuck in the storm you will die, unless you have a shield and some kind of drink that helps your health, but you still have to make it to the center. You can build walls and stairs around you to help with shelter. This helps at the end when you are left against one other person. Overall, this seems to be a fun game. One that they might get tired of after a while, but keep returning back to. I do wish you could play two people on one screen in online game play.

Best Multiplayer Game I've Ever Played

I'm going to start this review off with negatives. Sure, the frame rate isn't 60fps and you lag out on occasion. Other than those things, this game is the most fun I've ever had with a multiplayer video game. It's incredible because every round is different, you never know what you're going to get once you jump out of the airplane. Skill comes into play but I've never played a game that requires so much luck. You can be the best player on the planet but if you're in the last circle, run past the last guy who has 0 kills and is a potato but you don't see him, you're dead. After the updates, the frame rate has gotten better (I'm on an Xbox One X) and the lagging out has become a lot less common. I cannot wait until the game is finished, I've played it on PC as well so I know what the final product is like. If you're looking for a game that you wanna play with a group of friends, you HAVE to give this game shot. You'll spend countless hours trying to get those chicken dinners and once you get one, it would be hard to find a rush like it on another game.

I've seen all the PC reviews and how much fun it was but was still hesitant to get it being I just wasn't sure about the entire "battle royale" type game play. Just has never been my thing. But being a preview game and only $30 sure why not. Turns out I love it! I have won 3 chicken dinners and I still get nervous when I get into the top 10. Never had a game actually make me nervous. It's an exhilarating feeling! I was even able to talk my COD friends into it. No one was going to get it until I explained it to them. Now we aren't even playing COD! To be fair it's not all great. This is a PC port to the Xbox at the moment and is considered a preview game so it does have some issues. BUT....the devs are doing a really good job at listening to the community and are pushing regular updates and it has gotten better performance wise. I play on the X1X some say the older Xbox struggles but my friends say it's running fine.

Fun Gameplay - Need Xbox One X To Truly Enjoy

I bought this back when I had the Xbox One S and the graphics looked horrible, especially compared to playing it on Steam. I was shocked how bad it looked and how glitchy it was. I recently purchased the One X and the difference is night and day! It looks so much better on the X and plays very smooth. I only have a 1080p TV yet the graphics quality is vastly improved compared to the One S. I won my first match recently too! Anyway I only recommend this game if you have the One X. It's so fun! I just wish you could talk on your mic in this game like you can on the PC version - that would make it 5 stars for me.

REVIEWED ON XBOX ONE X I have played the PC release up to 1.0 so I had my expectations tempered. As this is an early release expect a buggy experience for now. Frequent patches are being released and the game is playable with most features making it in the console version. Frame rate and rubber banding are the worst issues so far. Though the game supports HDR/4K on the X the visuals are significantly worse than even low settings for PC. Draw distances play a crucial role in the game and thus far are only serviceable. The gameplay is a blast and despite the clones available none capture the essence of PUBG. I can report that even in this rough version that essence is complete. If planning to play duo or squad a mic is REQUIRED.

To start with, you must keep in mind that this is not a full release of a game. It makes it very clear on the box and when starting up that this game is still under development. You will experience lag, issues with texture, some dropped input and the delight and horror of frequent, unannounced, unexplained updates that make noticeable changes. If you can tolerate those things, this is a great game. You can take various avenues between all out combat or mostly hide and survive and still rank well in the game. It has a lot of interesting concepts that really keep the game flowing and that includes quickly exiting and entering a new game when the time comes. I'm looking forward to the futher developement of this game for sure.

    Fortnite's Nemesis

If you've never played a battle royale game, do yourself a favor and play the FREE Fortnite: Battle Royale game. If you don't care much for the art style or weapons physics of the game but enjoy the concept of the mode itself, you may be interested to try PU:BG. It's the grown up version of the game with a realness to it in graphics and handlings. Those two key areas are really the only differences between the two games. Be warned that this game is a "preview access" game meaning it's not entirely stable and is still being patched and added to along the way (think beta tester). The gameplay itself can be incredibly frustrating or rewarding depending on you or your team's strategies and luck.
