And, to be honest up front, I was buying it for it's "Cool!" factor. And that is definitely 5 stars! The speaker quality probably is really about 3 stars. It wasn't too bad, but I have bought $39.99 speakers that were every bit as good. But none of them levitated like this Death Star! It does take some time to get it floating. The magets are quite strong and it has to be exactly in the right spot to levitate. Otherwise, it just "jumps out of orbit" and crashes into the base. It does come with a plastic guide to help you get it in place. And once you have it figured out, it isn't too bad. The speaker itself is made out of plastic, but it seems pretty durable. The sound is not great, but not bad. But if you are buying this for a Star Wars fan, it will be appreciated!

Design alone would be 5 stars. It's very cool, it levitates and spins all on it's own. You do have to use the plastic sleeve to get it just right, but it's easy if you follow directions. The problem is the speaker. Now granted, I'm comparing it to a Bose Soundlink, so it's not really fair. But it doesn't have much depth or get very loud. If you're getting it for the novelty and the speaker as a second thought, then it's a good buy. If you're looking for a Bluetooth speaker, as much as I'd love to, it's just hard to endorse.

Cool toy, works great

Everyone notices it and the speaker quality is better than my old plug-in speaker/subwoofer combo.

Good product, bit of a gimmick

The sound isn't bad for the size of the speaker. The main attraction is the levitation though. Once the platform is on and you use the guide, it's actually pretty easy to get it levitating.
