Adding memory to my computer has made multitasking and transfer of data much faster. Geek squad did a fast job of installing also.

I used this RAM to upgrade my Mac's speed. I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro and it originally had 4GB of RAM. It started to slow down just a little, so I installed 8GB of RAM. Now my Mac is running super fast! Did it myself, so as long as you YouTube how to do it, you will be fine.

On the advice of a supervisor at Apple, I doubled the RAM on my MacBook Pro from 4GB to 8GB. There were several videos online on how to do it. I watched two different ones, and did what they agreed on, including using an ice cube tray to keep the tiny screws from disappearing. Since increasing the memory, programs open more quickly, and some of my problems have gone away. (Other problems were due to a video board, which is now also replaced, but not by me!) Apple's price for putting in their own memory, the only kind they will deal with, was a couple hundred dollars higher than the price of putting in my own. We will eventually replace this with a newer device (it's from 2011), but we won't have to act in haste. Upping the memory is giving us more time to shop around.
