Boost performance on your Mac or PC system with this 2.5-inch PNY internal SSD. The 3D TLC NAND flash technology ensures reliability and performance, while the 250GB storage capacity offers ample room for large media files and projects. This SATA III PNY internal SSD has maximum sequential read/write speeds of up to 535MB/sec. and 500MB/sec. for ultra-fast data transfer.
Q: Now that I have the PNY 250GB SSD what is the bes way to clone the old drive?
A: The least expensive way would be to create a system image with the Windows backup software and then restore that image to the SSD once installed.
Q: Will this work in 2008, X1300 Acer desktop. And how do I put windows 10, in it.
A: Since I am not familiar with the X1300, you will have to answer your own question by opening up your pc and examining it. 1) Does the X1300 have a SATA port? (Note: the drive does not come with cables, you'll need to get a SATA cable if you don't have one.) 2) Does your power supply have a plug for SATA power? If not, you will need to buy an adapter. 3) Can you mount the SSD in your PC? If not, you will need to get a caddy/adapter to match the screw holes. If you are able to fulfill the above, then the drive should work in your PC. After installing the SSD, plug in the USB install drive or load the DVD media (depending on what you have) to install Windows 10. Power up the PC. It will notice that the SSD is blank and start to look for an install media and start the installation process. If the PC does not search for an install media, restart the PC and hit whatever key to change the boot order. It usually is F12, but check your manual it may be different for the X1300. Make the usb drive or DVD drive first so the PC will boot off the installation media. I'm assuming the you have verify that X1300 is compatible with Windows 10, otherwise you will be missing software drivers for some of your components in your PC.
Q: Can I put this in a prebuilt PC to add more storage or is it only compatible with laptops
A: Yes, as long as you have a SATA connector to your motherboard and the appropriate power connector from your power supply.
Q: Is this a 2.5 inch internal drive
A: Yes, with SATA interface.
A: This is a freeware cloning software from big HDD 1T to small SSD 250GB. https://www.macrium.com/cloning-a-disk-with-macrium-reflect-v8
Q: Does anyone know if this will fit a Dell Latitude 6430?
A: It will fit any PC or laptop that has a 2.5" SATA HDD. Be sure to retain the HDD caddy and connector adapter (if one is required). You can install anywhere from a 128 GB to 1 TB SSD. Know some firms offer adaptors the physical size of a 2.5" SATA drive. Said caddy holds a PCIe or NVMe drive inside it. Advantage? The latter drives may be cheaper than a SATA III 2.5" SSD.
Q: Will this work in a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series laptop?
A: Yes. At least it did mine.
