250GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Girlfriend has a laptop (lenovo flex 4) that was until a week ago slower than certain populations are to accept climate change (something about a windows 10 update nixing the amount of power the stock HDD needed to operate as intended). Anyway, I took an evening and migrated her old windows image and files onto this using the included drive cloning software then swapped drives. The Lenovo's boot time went from 3 mins plus to 10 seconds, and my status as caring, nurturing bf went from okay to highly decent. I really recommend.

Good Drive,Best Upgrade is an HDD to SSD
||Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Best upgrade I did for all my computers was during the pandemic switching everything over from HDD to an SSD. I changed at least 100 drives out, all with PNY and some Adata drives all have worked and still working very well.

Get the job done but no free cloning software
||Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed. The PNY SSD is budget SSD and I believe it does not have a DRAM. I did not notice any significant speed difference in usage compared with my SAMSUNG higher end SSD in my older system. All of them are much faster than mechanical drives. If you want to have faster SSD, I recommend an NVMe SSD instead of SATA because of the speed limit of the latter if your motherboard support it. The only issue with upgrading your old system is that, unlike Samsung SSDs, this PNY model does NOT come with a free cloning software, nor provided by their website. It took me some time to find a working free software on the Internet.

Q: QuestionWill this work in 2008, X1300 Acer desktop. And how do I put windows 10, in it.
Asked by Molly1.
- A:Answer Since I am not familiar with the X1300, you will have to answer your own question by opening up your pc and examining it. 1) Does the X1300 have a SATA port? (Note: the drive does not come with cables, you'll need to get a SATA cable if you don't have one.) 2) Does your power supply have a plug for SATA power? If not, you will need to buy an adapter. 3) Can you mount the SSD in your PC? If not, you will need to get a caddy/adapter to match the screw holes. If you are able to fulfill the above, then the drive should work in your PC. After installing the SSD, plug in the USB install drive or load the DVD media (depending on what you have) to install Windows 10. Power up the PC. It will notice that the SSD is blank and start to look for an install media and start the installation process. If the PC does not search for an install media, restart the PC and hit whatever key to change the boot order. It usually is F12, but check your manual it may be different for the X1300. Make the usb drive or DVD drive first so the PC will boot off the installation media. I'm assuming the you have verify that X1300 is compatible with Windows 10, otherwise you will be missing software drivers for some of your components in your PC.

Q: QuestionNow that I have the PNY 250GB SSD what is the bes way to clone the old drive?
Asked by bsinmich.
- A:Answer The least expensive way would be to create a system image with the Windows backup software and then restore that image to the SSD once installed.

Q: QuestionCan I put this in a prebuilt PC to add more storage or is it only compatible with laptops
Asked by Anymous.
- A:Answer Yes, as long as you have a SATA connector to your motherboard and the appropriate power connector from your power supply.

Q: QuestionDoes anyone know if this will fit a Dell Latitude 6430?
Asked by Don.
- A:Answer It will fit any PC or laptop that has a 2.5" SATA HDD. Be sure to retain the HDD caddy and connector adapter (if one is required). You can install anywhere from a 128 GB to 1 TB SSD. Know some firms offer adaptors the physical size of a 2.5" SATA drive. Said caddy holds a PCIe or NVMe drive inside it. Advantage? The latter drives may be cheaper than a SATA III 2.5" SSD.
