Q: QuestionCan this be installed in an Alienware laptop bought back in 2012? Do they have PCI Express slots available?

- A:Answer Get on Dell.com and look up the model and then check out the Mother board layout. If there is a slot it will be somewhere on the board and labeled as SATA or Pcie. If you can not find it give me the model number and I will be Glad to check for you. Try yourself and get back to me. I am not sure being it's 8 years old. Hold onto your receipt and return in under 14 days in the event it does not have the proper port. Get a Pcie if it has correct port. It is Much faster than SATA. Do not open package until you open covers and see the correct port so you will be able to return the item. Mike R.

Q: QuestionPlease has anyone installed 1 of these PNY 500GB Pci.e m.2s into an Acer Nitro 5. This Nitro version comes with the i5-8300H and a Pcie that runs 1,120 write and a 898GB on reads. Do you think I can except 3500/3200 bps using the PNY Nitro Acer 5 ??

- A:Answer I will be doing exactly that within the next month. I am an old Microsoft Engineer (retired) and I service friends office networks. They will be doing these upgrades all over the US. So I will be drafting up a small training video and work manual for accomplishing this exact task installing a Pcie SSD into their individual workstation. I have my own Personal Nitro 5 with Gen 8 8300H and stock Pcie SSD just like your PC. Contact me in approx. 1 month (or sooner) I will be listing it on Best Buy reviews of that Ssd. I'm not bothering to add it to the Nitro 5 PC listing on Best Buy as I believe all of the NJ stores have like just 1 Nitro PC left. Just pay them $599 as they were on sale for a few days about 2 weeks ago. My guess is however that the Nitro Pcie setup is the same I purchased a full year ago. Got mine the week it released for just $649.99. Following g that they have been $799.00 and on sale occasionally. Anyhow I will get back to you. I have a SATA EVO 500GB for a 2nd/data drive. Super fast when all memory running on SSD. Get back to you..... Grand National Mike. I was going to buy that last Nitro 5 left but I'm going to purchase a 17.3 new style Nitro 5.
