PNY - CS1100 120GB Internal SATA III Solid State Drive for Laptops

I have a mid 2012 non-retina macbook pro who's hard disk drive was over half full. The mac took forever to boot up, load apps, and transfer data so I thought Id throw in an ssd to improve performance. This ssd fit perfectly in my mac and runs OS X Yosemite flawlessly. I am getting read speeds of around 300 mb/s and write of just over 400 mb/s. Apps load faster then ever before and this ssd really breathed new life into a 3 year old computer. I am also seeing major improvements in battery life because the ssd draws less power than my old hard disk drive. Very satisfied for the money and a good investment into a still wonderful macbook.

This SSD is just what my laptop needed. What it lacks in storage space, it greatly makes up for in speed. It's definitely not the fastest SSD around, but it's still a huge improvement in speed and reliability over my older hard drive. Windows boots fresh faster than it used to wake up from sleep, and applications load nearly instantly. Solid state is a must-have upgrade unless you need a ton of storage.

This is a good and cheap ssd that works beautifully as an os drive for faster booting. I have it in my laptop, and Windows runs quick. It's relatively small though, so if you're looking for large storage, go with a traditional drive. Also, this is to small a drive for something like a ps4. Go with at least a tb there.
