So I needed a mount for my car and since I heard there was a mount to go with my popsocket decided to buy the popsocket mount. I was very excited that I would be able to use my popsocket in another way on top of all the great uses for it. Well I was very very disappointed. I placed it in the middle of my dashboard in my car and was working great! But before I got to my destination it fell off and along with it came some of the paint from the dashboard so as much as I tried to place it back on it just wouldn't work! I am guessing my phone must have been too heavy but I figured that the glue on the back would be as strong as the popsocket glue but I was wrong. I ended up having to crazy glue it to an old mount and use it that way. I really wanted this to work but unfortunately it just didn't. Also unfortunately I gave one to a friend for her birthday when I got mine and did not work for her either. We both have a V20 so in case you have the same phone and want one it won't work. And if buy any chance you do have this phone and it worked for you let us know how you did it! LOL! I guess they might only work with lighter phones.

I decided to try popsockets with my phone and needed a way to mount the phone in the car (had previous used a case with a clip and a vent mount). I read a lot of reviews that said the adhesive on the mounts was horrible. I didn't even try to use it on my dash as is. Instead, I decided to use velcro, sticking the fuzzy side to the dash (between the vents) and the rough side onto the back of the mount. Once I peeled the mount's adhesive-backing paper, I could tell that the adhesive was nowhere as sticky as the popsocket, itself, nor the adhesive on the velcro. Since I stuck adhesive velcro to the mount's adhesive area, I think it will work better than if I just used the mount by itself. It definitely holds my phone. The popsocket slips into the mount pretty easily, but firmly. I can also move the mount somewhere else by setting up another velcro area. I will be buying another one. I can't figure out why they don't use the same adhesive on the mount that they use on the popsocket - very sticky and re-useable multiple times.

I was really looking forward to this cell phone mount, until I used it. There's not much to it. What you don't see is that on the backside of the item, there's a small sticky area. Basically two-sided tape. You peel off the cover and just stick it to the surface you want it on. So, be aware you're applying tape and adhesive to your dash, car, etc. If you have a vehicle you care about, that's something to consider. But, in my case it did not matter. I cleaned the surface, dried it, and then applied the adhesive socket mount.... it was awesome for about 15 seconds. Then it totally gave up and fell off. After that, it would not stick any more and just became useless literally after about 15 seconds of use. It can NOT hold the weight of a Galaxy S9+ with an Otterbox Commuter case on it. At all. Esp if you place / remove the phone from the mount with any regularity. Will be looking into replacement or refund, for sure.

re the mount, there's a lot i like about it and a few things i don't. here goes: you need to find a space for it that works for you and the cockpit. if you have an iphone (eg iphone 6s+) well, they hide a lot of car stuff when you mount the phone in front if it unless you find an area that works. i had it on my infinity f35 and it was perfect. i couldn't put it in my nx 200 t. plus integration of the phone into car systems is always improving and soon you won't need to access your phone. until then, or you have an older car, this is great mount. the only problem is that in hot weather, the mount will not hold. so you have to superglue it to the car and maybe your phone case as well. other than that...great.

I have a popsocket. I LOVE it. I have a mount in my vehicle which has stuck and stayed on the perfectly flat surface I found for it. However when I bought this second mount for my husband's vehicle, I couldn't find a perfectly smooth surface. I tried to stick it to a slightly textured surface but it fell off. I was ultimately left to just place it back into a package to return it. I'm really bummed because I LOVE my other one. Maybe it's a faulty mount? Maybe not? I don't know. But I don't care enough to try again. Returning this mount and not bothering with another one. First one was perfect. Second...meh. I'll recommend them as long as you have a smooth surface to stick it to.

This little invention is awesome and way better than the car vent cell phone holders. I often try the heater vent holders. I've tried them all! So 1 you give up your air circulation in that vent and 2 the phone ALWAYS falls on the floor. BUT, this little thing paired with the pop socket of your choice voids both of those problems. Haven't had a problem yet and I can remove the pop socket from my phone case by carefully running it under warm water and slowly peeling it off. Let it dry. Stick on another case. 2 thumbs up!

I've had this cell mount for about a month now and it works great. Holds my heavy phone and has not fell off yet. The only thing that's kind of annoying is my phone doesn't sit snug in the cell mount so when I turn, my phone might turn in a circle haha which isn't a huge deal to me since I know the socket can rotate. It still holds my phone, It just stays upright better when plugged in. And my popsocket is kind of off center. Might work better if it was centered like my husband's phone and car mount in his car..I don't see him with this issue.

So I bought this mount online when I bought my popsocket in the hopes of finally having a reliable system for holding my phone in the car. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of information available at the time about how the mounting system worked so I did not know there would be an issue with mounting. The adhesive area on the mounts back is is flat to the mount and there is no way to adjust this so that the mount is usable with any shape of dashboard. This made the mount unusable in my car because the only flat space available was located too closely to the steering column. If purchased, make sure you have a decent amount of flat space available.
