It stands on end. This helps with space. I got the black stand it matches My space gray Xbox.

There isn't a lot to say, except it fit well, sliding right on to the console, and securely holds it stable, and upright...so it fits and works well and at a good price, so I am pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend.

This base for the Xbox One is pretty small, and efficient. It takes care of the job it is supposed to be doing and it is barely visible. If anything it adds to the overall aesthetics of the game room, or TV console set up, ad the black contrasts well with the White Xbox One S I own.
