4Good for the money
Postedarmywife512Bought this product (I have it in black) to eliminate the wires needed for the sensor that came with the Wii. So far, so good. It works better than my original sensor, as now I can operate the Wii from further away, meaning I can sit on my couch instead of on my floor. Also, I did not have to sync anything, only turn this product and the Wii on, and it just worked. Easy set up. My only concerns are the batteries. You must be very careful when putting in or removing batteries. As far as battery life is concerned, yes, they do die fast, but you can combat this with purchasing rechargeable batteries, which will save a lot of money in the long run. I also like the rubber feet on the bottom that keep it from getting knocked all over the place. I do with there was some form of charger for this, so that the batteries didn't have to be removed and charged/replaced all the time. Really not a bad buy for just $20 though.

5Big & easy!
PostedSuperLandoThis "little" bar works extremely well. I had to install one for a large theater room in a senior living community with a large overhead projector. I have the bar sitting on a small wooden ledge directly under their massive 108" projection screen. The Wii is over 40' from the bar and sits behind a wall in s small A/V room opposite the direction of their main screen. The Wii & the bar communicate perfectly. I have other wi-fi & bluetooth devices in the same proximity of the Wii and this unit has never failed the staff or the audiences that frequent the theater. The unit does draw on it's batteries quickly, however I acquired some Ni-Mh batteries and a recharger from Best Buy as well and they're in business when the batteries run down. This was a showstopper for the older folks and I'm very very happy with this inexpensive unit.

This Wii sensor is so much better than the original version. I have a regular Wii and my kitten chewed through the super thin long cord on the sensor. We haven't been able to play the Wii since. At first I was hesitant to get this because I didn't want to pay $20 for it. But I went ahead with the purchase and it was totally worth it. The sensor is wired or wireless. Now I don't have to worry about a long cord getting in the way. The sensor is extended range so where my little girl wasn't hitting the old one properly for her dance games the new one catches her because of the wide range. It also has an automatic shut off so I'm not constantly running through the batteries. My little girl never remembers to turn it off. I am extremely happy with the purchase. With all it can do I would have actually paid more. If you have the old Wii sensor you should upgrade to this one whether you need to or not. You will be truly happy!!!

1Good design, but not efficient.
PostedBlackMantisDesign. Great. Ease of setup. Great. Performance. Good. Efficiency... Terrible. This thing lasts less that 40 minutes with rechargeable batteries. I believe Power A stuck the 1 hour/ 2 hour battery saver button on as an after thought when they realized the bar doesn't last more than a couple of hours. It will start flashing red within the first two hours on a full set. How this got the Nintendo Official Seal slapped on is beyond me, because even the Wii Remote doesn't consume rechargeable batteries as fast as this sensor bar does. (I have not tried lithiums yet, but if it goes through NiMH at the same rate then it's hardly worth the extra investment.) My suggestion; buy this if you REALLY need it, and only bring it out during parties when you know people are going to knock the original sensor bar over.

I got this because I needed the sensor bar wireless, not because it allows for a larger throw distance than the stock bar that comes with the Wii U. I like that it requires no special installation on the Wii. Just turn it on and the Wii finds it like magic. You can leave it on all the time, which will kill the batteries if you use it wireless (wired you'll be fine, leave it on all day). I use the auto-off which saves the batteries, but does add the inconvenience of having to turn it on every time you use it. If you are not playing games that need the Wii mote, like using the pro controllers or the one with the screen built in, then you don't need to bother turning it on anyway. It works great, I don't love that it requires a frequent manual turn on or battery is dead, but that's the game with a wireless device like that. Otherwise, there's nothing to dislike.

5Solid Sensor Bar with cool features
PostedMatt102Overall the sesor bar is excellant. It is very sensitive and worked great with my Wii console right when I turned it on. The reason I purchased in was because the old sensor bar along with another wireless version I had purchased were not working and the remote would not register on my tv screen. After I turned on this sensor bar everything was crystal clear and worked like it did when I first got the Wii. The bar has a pretty nice power savor feature where you can set it to turn off after two hours (default) or one hour. This is great because for some games you only need the bar for a little bit while you start the game from the Wii menu. There are also setting on the bar to set a wider range which is great if you have your console in a big open room. The only drawbacks to this unit are that it is huge! It is about a foot and half long and a few inches deep. Very solid product though and worth the money.

5Perfect for keeping wires out of sight!
PostedShane005I just added the Wii to my entertainment system. I have a mounted LED-LCD connected to a PS3, HD-DVR, and a Receiver for my surround sound. All the wires for my speakers and electronics are hidden in the walls or the attic, the only thing in the living room is the tv and speakers, everything else is in the next room. Then there was the Wii. I had it setting on my mantle with wires running up to the back of the tv, over to the original sensor bar, and down to the nearest outlet. Thanks to the BD&A Ultra Wireless Sensor Bar, the Wii console is now in the next room and my living room is wire free again! Auto Shutoff is good for me because I sometimes forget to turn it off because I was used to just hitting the power button on the remote and that was it, now there are two things to turn off, which is not a problem. After reading some off the other reviews, I did buy some rechargeable batteries to go with it, but have had no problem installing or removing them.

5I Love This Wii Sensor Bar!
PostedMizshutterbugI purchased this last night and just set it up with our 2nd new Wii. I LOVE it!! I had noticed that the original Wii sensor bar was making my icon from the remote scatter rather wildly over the screen on same new Wii. So decided to look for a a different one and discovered this at Best Buy, it had just come in. You will not be disappointed in this great sensor bar and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of one - VERY accurate. It even has a power saving feature you can set of turning sensor bar off automatically within 1 or 2 hours to save power. The blue light will start to blink when it's ready to shut down, which gives you time to press the power button once again so it stays on. There is also a wide view and a regular view selector for the sensing ability. Just slide a button on the top and that's it. You can't go wrong folks at the $19.99 price! This is a winner and I am off to buy another one for my old Wii console! Linda
