PowerA - USB Charge Cable for PS4 - Black

First up I too thought this USB charger cable for PlayStation 4 was made by Sony. It isn't but if you ignore the misleading title description & read further down you see the item is an Officially Licensed Sony product. Also the pictures online are from an earlier Power A model that's probably been discontinued. The older model looked better. What you will receive is a pretty basic black 6.5" USB charging cable in a cheap blue box. There are No Gold Connectors so right away I was let down. The older model also seemed to have an added sleeve on one side of the cable which is gone now too. Overall I decided to return these. As an aside to add insult to injury I had ordered two of these on a Tuesday for $9.99 ea. only to see them go on sale a day later for less. So not only did I not get a Sony cable but I got a cheaper version for full price lol. Anyway I'm posting New Pictures of the item you will receive if ordering these PS4 charger cables. Enjoy!

To be clear, this 1 is for Best Buy, not PowerA. But to some extent Sony. There is a certain type of micro USB required to sync the controller with a ps4 or PC. It's not a standard cable. The last one I bought just didn't work. You can only get an official one with a ps4 system, or so I thought. So when I saw this I was ecstatic. The listing says Sony, I did not think to zoom in on the image to see the small PowerA logo. That image is not even the same box I received (attaching my own image, showing logo at the bottom). That said, this did sync with the ps4 using an older model controller (after hitting the reset button with a paper clip!). And it seems to be more physically stable on the controller connection than the official one. But I will run more tests before buying another... and it won't be from Best Buy.

IT WILL TRANSFER THAT INFO AS FAST AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY SEND IT!!!!!!!!!!NO JOKE, SERIOUSLY!!!!GRAB ONE, PLUG IT IN (BOTH ENDS), AND YOU'RE OFF TO THE BINARY RACE FROM HAEDES.

Purchased this in conjunction with a PS 4 wireless controller. Although that may sound ironic (to purchase a wire with a wireless controller), it works well if you sit close to the machine, or if you don't have working batteries in the controller itself. I recommend this product.

Working as intended and still using the same cable to this day. It fits well and the cord has held up to normal use without any issue charging the PS4 controller and being used as a USB-A to microUSB cable for my computer.

This has been well worth the money! I am a computer gamer and I need to be able to connect both my PS4 controller and Xbox controller to my gaming pc. This is a must have for any PC gamer! I recommend this product!

This is perfect it’s way longer than the original one that comes with the PS4 and seems to do a good job of charging haven’t had issues I’ve previously purchased one for my significant other just cause she uses a short 2-3 footer and is always having to be so close but now she can relax ! and charge her controller.

Seems longer then the one that came with system. Also is licensed by Playstation on the one side of cord it has a ps logo which makes it that much cooler then the one that came packaged with system.
