As other reviews a great idea!
Posted .Have some difficulty getting proper placement of my HTC EVO on pad. Then when I get it placed a few seconds later it shuts off and not fully charged. Also if you leave the phone on which most of us do, when charge is complete it shuts off. Thats okay, thats a reason to buy it to save the battery from overcharging. But these smart phones continue to drain battery power and the powerpad does not automatically start recharging. So you wake up to a dead or near dead phone. I also bought a single powerpad for my wife's blackberry 59.95. Did not work at all had to return it. Had to use the powermat on my powerpad to charge.

Poor investment
Posted .This was pretty useful for about the first month. It charged my I-phone quickly and gave me a consistent place to put my phone when not in my pocket. However, my wife's quit working after about a month, somehow the powermat case on her phone became hot and started melting. Mine worked for a few weeks longer. Then it became picky about it's placement on the powermat. I spend about twenty seconds adjusting it on top of the mat and then must come back to it frequently to make sure it is still charging. I have used it for about five months now and today, I have decided not to use it anymore. Poor investment.

a let down
Posted .I was all excited when I first saw it but then the excitement wained after I got it. It's great if you just charge your Iphone on it but to sync you have to remove the case because the apple adapter on the bottom of your phone is changed to a micro slot and when I add the adapeter my computer doesn't see my Iphone so I can't sync it. It doesn't have adapters for Zune or Polaroid Zinc. It has a usb port but if I'm going to charge with a usb port I'll just connect it to my computer and sync it at the same time. I've e-mailed the company twice already but no changes yet. I recommend it for owners of the devices it had attachments for and not for using adapters. You also can't use your Iphone car charger with it because of the micro slot, you have to remove the case.

A complete DISAPOINTMENT
Posted .ok i got the power mat for christmas asuming it would be the coolest thing ever. It says it wirelessly charges basically anything. In my head all i was thinking oh, wow i just put my ipod down it will start charging. But boy was I wrong. when i opened it up i plugged it in. and i put my ipod on it but nothing happened. So i went to the directions to see that i have to put this litlle power cube on the mat and then atach the power cube to a little atachment so my ipod would fit in to it. Then finally I could put my ipod on it to start charging. At that time my ipod wasn't evan charging on the mat because the power cube was there. Oh and i desided to see how to things at once would be for charging. Well i cant charge any thing else besides one thing at a time unless if i buy another power cube or something like that which is cheapest with $$30. A complete ripoff. An d it is so not wireless!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THE POWER MAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolute lie
Posted .i purchased this for my husband for christmas. we went to use it and you have to purchase 2 receivers if you want to charge something. in other words you have to plug your device into something that is not included to set it on this mat. to actually charge it. the cube that comes with it would not even plug into my phone so i could not even try it with that. also the receivers are another 29.99 each extra to use this device. you cannot just set something on the mat to charge it as the picture and box sAYS.

Good idea, poor execution
Posted .The technology seems sound and makes sense; however, it was not clear until after purchase that you must have adapters or an enabled device to use this charging technology. even worse is that each adapter costs $30 a piece in addition to the $100 base mat cost. The mat comes with a multi-device adapter, but it has a wire that hangs off of it to use the universal adapter. What's the point of having a universal device with cords when I am trying to get rid of the cords in the first place!?!? In addition to the ridiculous cost for each adapter, my specific devices didn't have an adapter available. These are common devices - iPod nano, Blackberry phone and Palm Pixi phone. I really think this technology has a place in the future when more devices come out of the box available to charge on a mat like this. For now, though, it is too soon to justify having a $100 device laying around that still must use cords for my mobile devices. This unit is heading back to Best Buy who I'm sure will do a good job with their customer service as usual.

I was fooled
Posted .You have to use the included power cube to charge your device, and there is only one of those so you have to buy additional receivers for each device you have separately. The receivers cost between $10 - $40 depending on the specific device you want to charge. You don't find out any of this until you have opened the product and read the instructions. The graphics on the box makes it appear as if you can simply place 3 devices on it without having to do anything else. Price rating - Poor due to the fact you have to buy the overpriced receivers separately. Charge Time- Poor out of the box, without buying anything else, you can only charge one device at a time using the included "power cube", which is a mess of wires and charging nipples. Durability - Fair can't use it so it should last a long while Ease of Use - Poor Again I'm rating this low simply because this device will not work out of the box as advertised unless you buy the expensive receivers separately. I would not have been as critical in this review if the product box had mentioned clearly that the receivers were necessary and sold separately. They could have included a coupon to get a free receiver, or at least a very good discount on one.

It's bleeping charging!
Posted .That is the best ad I have ever seen! Had to go out and get one! Looked it up on line and found that my wife's BlackBerry Curve required a $30 battery door/receiver. Headed over to Best Buy and picked it up. At home we set it up and put the battery door on the BlackBerry. Well it makes the unit bigger.. DUHHH. But now her cover/skin will not fit over the BlackBerry anymore. Try throwing it on the mat with the cover on it... well it didn't work. Not surprised there. Peeled skin back off and threw the BlackBerry on the mat. No sound. No light. Picked it up and placed it on there again. Got a sound but no charging icon. Figured out that you need to place it on there real carefully. You have a small marker that needs to be in the center of the receiver. Once you find the sweet spot it does charge the phone. "It's Bleeping charging!!" (its just fun to say). Nudged it a little. "It's not Bleeping charging." If the mat and receiver had a better magnetic contact it would really help. I think there should be enough pull to right the device when it is close but not there. You can feel about where it needs to go. But you need to practice a bit. As for the door that goes on the BlackBerry. It lets the camera and flash pass through it. But it lacks the little mirror. But the main issue is that the cover that my wife MUST HAVE, would have to be cut to make it fit. "So I need to peel off the skin when I want to charge it??? How is this better then me just using the cord?" If this was on the iphone which actually has a cover and charger receiver... her opinion might have been different. But in the end it was returned.
