Here is a band that was, to me, talented, but minimal when it came to R&B, and if it wasn't for the 80's cuts, I would have totally dismissed them. Glad for rethinking. Mtume was a group that was talented and beyond and their grace wasn't just the 80's, because when they broke out earlier, the talent was just beginning, and as the years went along, so did they, and with each year, they just got better. Thanks to that female lead, they were a funky, seductive force during their tenure and I am so glad that I was musically privy to their accomplisments. This is a two disc review of how crunk, emotional, sexy and "drop it like it's hot" dancetastic they were during their hey-day and everyone wanting this level of fame need to cop a squat and give a listen, cause this group had it, with some extra to spare. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, MTUME!!!
