Works great! Well, mostly.
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendThe Thumbies by Psyclone work great, as long as the game you are playing requires the specialized button layouts that are included in the package. I tried using them with Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus and Gangstar: Miami Vindication, but the button layouts never matched exactly, and the large suction cups usually covered up parts of the screen that needed to be used for other buttons in different game modes. The worst problem was the the D-pads don't seem to work at all. While great in concept, they were extremely unreliable, and after repositioning them and trying different methods I finally gave up altogether. They simply are too inaccurate and unreliable. So, if you are playing a game that the buttons are made for, and as long as you don't plan on using the D-pads, these things are great! Otherwise, stick to using touch.

Perfect for certain games
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThese really work well, but not for all games. They are the only product out there that is small enough to work on iPod Touch and iPhone too. I've found many of the dual analog stick games work great (Alive 4-Ever, Minigore, Guerrilla Bob) , and the buttons usually work. But some games the D-Pad is not the correct size. Not really a problem, luckily a lot of the top games work. If you're looking for a few games to test, try The Simpsons game, Sonic, or Street Fighter. Street fighter works great because you can move the onscreen buttons to fit better. Pacman also worked. Tony Hawk pro skater 2 is my favorite. The Buttons make it so much easier, especially since I used to always seem to hit the wrong button. I don't use the D-Pad with this game but the buttons really help. Finally beat the game on my iTouch.

Great for android!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was becoming frustrated at using virtual d-pads with the emulators and games on android. Once I saw the fling control stick attachment I smiled at what a great idea these attachments were though the 20$+ price tag turned me off. After doing some looking I found these on sale on the best buy website and decided to pick them up at a local store. The set up was straight forward using simple suction cups that don't leave marks or go bad. They barely blur the screen but can overlap which a 10 second scissor job can fix right up. Functionally the buttons work brilliant and the d-pad/joystick (marketed as a "j-pad") works perfectly over any d-pad used in emulators or games. As for joysticks, it works fine on some ,but for others like the n64 emulator n64oid, it does not rach far enough for the full throttle of the control stick. ie. making mario always walk and not able to run. This was expected as it is mostly a d-pad and not a control stick. There are very few things wrong with this product and I would recommend it for any ios and android device with a capacitive touch screen.
