Worst Ever
Posted .Bought one in January of last year. Stopped working after 2 months. Decided to give it another try, bought another today. Thought I just had a bad one based on reviews. NOPE. Second Puregaurdian purchased today DOES NOT WORK OUT OF THE BOX. Will return in the morning. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS HUMIDIFIER!!!

|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIt works! I had another humidifier and it didn't feel like it did anything. The dry air really makes it hard for me to breathe at night. Putting this on the 4-hour timer before going to bed is perfect! At first we were leaving it on all night at full power and we'd get a white residue on everything in our place, even outside our bedroom. It's also important to clean this thing every week. Going 2 weeks without cleaning it makes the vapor start to smell.

It was a good deal at Best Buy and had good reviews an various websites. You have to be really careful so it doesn’t mold. Other than that, it’s a great humidifier. The heat settings are good and this puts out a ton of vapor on high. The nightlight is nice for kids too.

- A:Answer You do not have any access to the internal components of the unit such as the fan. You can use canned air and blow that into the bottom air vents if dust were to become an issue.

- A:Answer I set my humidifier on my bar which is approximately 3 1\2 feet high. I have wood flooring. I was concerned about the same issue. I run my humidifier on low all day. I have no wet or damp areas above or below.

- A:Answer The unit will need to be cleaned once a week to every two weeks with 100% white vinegar and the provided cleaning brush. We do not recommend using any kind of additives, even antibacterial, to our units.

Q: QuestionCannot find the oil tray to save my life. It is not where it is supposed to be according to pictures on the website and instructions manual. Are there different models of this humidifier???

- A:Answer Mine is a model H4810AR and the Oil tray is on the side opposite the controls. It's a small gray slide in tray (1-1.2" wide by 1/4" high) with a fabric disc inside of it.
