I received two of this unit because first one was a lemon, so I returned it to BestBuy, who was very willing to take it back and gave me a replacement, same model. This review pertains solely to the replacement. I'll just ignore the first one. The second one that BestBuy gave me is literally more than a turntable. It is also a radio, a CD player, a music recorder, and a tape player. I'm not an audiophile, and the sound of this turntable is good enough for me. I bought this turntable because I wanted to digitize my hundreds of vinyl record. This turntable can record the music to a flash drive while the music is being played from a CD or a vinyl record, so it is not necessary to use a computer to record the music. Can you imagine how much time I will save by simply recording music in the unit itself rather than in the computer? Yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

I still have my original albums from the 1970s when I was a teenager and a few from musicals from when I was a child - "The King and I" with Yul Brenner and "Camelot". I also have my cassette tapes since I had my Volvo for so many years before just getting a new one. With stores now selling old albums again I can now go buy ones that got lost somewhere along the way. Definitely recommend!

great value for the price,, however the remote control was missing from ours and I had to call the company to request one -- but operates perfectly and does everything with minimal counter space
