I was looking for a soundbar for my tv since it's onboard speakers aren't much. Took a risk with this product, and I'm not overly enthused with it. The auxilary port was faulty when it arrived. The standby/power is useless as it turns itself back on every 5 minutes, not to mention if I try to set it to an input that is disconnected (since turning it off is impossible) it resets to the tv input on its own. The volume changes without any command to do so. All that said, it sounds better than my tv speakers did so it does the job.

I couldn't get either the optical or RCA jacks to work on this sound bar. I thought it might be the TV as it was new also. I used the optical for the downstairs sound bar and nothing. However the bluetooth connection worked. The issue with that is that when I changed channels using bluetooth I lost volume. It could be due to whatever was causing the inputs not to work. When it did work the sound was very good.
