unfortunately this is not a Microsoft product, and the technology is second grade,I am sure a 3rd party vendor built this units, nevertheless quality is acceptable for the price. you have to try different styluses, I used a simple pen that I got at the dollar store, not perfect, but does the job for me, and I have a pen handy as well......I wish you well
