A:AnswerIt's active as soon as you pay for it. They use your information in their system that you provided when you purchased your item and the protection plan.
A:AnswerFrom what I was told, the store honors the replacements even when products are given to someone as gifts or in similar situations. Regardless of owner, product has its warranty.
A:AnswerHi there. Thank you for your question! At this time, the Geek Squad Protection on laptops does not cover a loss or theft on the unit. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know!
A:AnswerHi there. Thanks for reaching out to us about this! It's more-so an issue with the manufacturer if they see it's been messed with. But you should be just fine to take off the panel to blow the fans out. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out again!
A:AnswerYou may still be covered under the manufacturers warranty if you’re within a certain period; otherwise it’s my understanding that you can use the accident protection for that.
A:AnswerHi there. Thank you for your awesome question! It absolutely is! Your laptop is covered by accidental damage including drops, spills, etc. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
A:AnswerI would have to say to where its so damaged they cant even tell it was a laptop or computer like throwing it in the back of a tree shredder lol . No seriously if its damaged to the point they can not see a serial # or tell it is what you say it is . But I have seen they replace laptops that have been run over by a car tire . So their pretty accepting at certain stores (the certain stores part sucks but some city's and stores just have horrible customer service and you may have to get cooperate involved )
Hope this helps

A:AnswerThanks for showing interest in our 3- Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection. This plan includes features like Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH), 24/7 support, One-time battery replacement, No Lemon policy, Normal wear and tear, Power surge protection, Pixel repair, and burn-in coverage and lastly full parts and labor. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to your local Best Buy location where they can provide more information about plans.
A:AnswerI understand that it starts immediately, if you are talking about the one that replaces it for any reason, like dropping, spills, etc. The manufacture's warrantly should cover bad parts, etc. The Geek Squad should be your best place to get the "real" scoop though.
A:AnswerThe plan is a joke and their service is even more of a joke. All they want is to take your money for zero service in return. I went up to the tech desk in Brick NJ with a cracked screen. I told him “unfortunately it was a guy instead of a tech woman” that I bought the highest most expensive plan. He punches in my phone number and at first tells me I don’t exist in the system. Finally he finds me in the system and says it’s fully covered. I was persistent. Then he tells me there’s no sense in fixing the laptop because it would take 4 weeks to get it back. I ask about a screen protector and they tell me there is no such thing. Then they sell me a case for my laptop that doesn’t fit. Best Buts is a clown show!!
