“I spoke to Comcast and they are trying to get me to lease an apple TV box. Are these the same boxes that the cable companies sell and will this help replace my AT&T Uverse cable boxes?”

• I’ve never heard of a cable company leasing an AppleTV box, nor selling them for that matter. It might be able to replace a cable box, but would depend on the specific service and what “apps” your cable company supports.

• The Apple TV allows you to get rid of cable boxes, but you will need subscriptions to the different apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc). We use it in place of cable. I definitely would not lease an AppleTV as you will end up paying more for it.
