“Two questions:(1) Does this watch have a count-down timer, e.g., set for 15 minutes and count-down to zero? (2) Does the watch have a loud alarm (after counting down to zero)? I need something greater than 70 dB.”

Yes it has a count-down timer, and while I don't know exactly how loud it is it is loud enough to wake me up. Also, if i leave it in the other room I can hear the alarm going off. Hope this helps.
