A:AnswerABSOLUTELY!!!! I bought this watch just for that purpose for my 13 year old diabetic son!! Now all he has to do is look at his watch anytime he wants to see what his blood sugar is!! Amazing!!
A:AnswerI researched the two and could not find a significant benefit to the Series 3 unless you plan to purchase the 3 with the data plan. Both the 2 and 3 have GPS and are waterproof which was why I decided to upgrade from my Series 1 which did not have a GPS and was only splash resistant. As far as I know Apple will no longer make the Series 2 so yes it will be phased out but should not effect you if you decide to purchase one. They still support Series 1 and 2 with all the software upgrades.
A:AnswerYes, you can! There is a vibrate mode and an airplane mode. But the watch does not match the mode your phone is in, so if your phone is on silent, it's possible still for your watch to alert you.
A:AnswerYes. The bands slide on and off with the press of a button that releases them. The watch I bought my wife came with 2 different bands, and bands are sold all over the place, Best Buy, Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, etc. There are no lack of bands that you can put on this watch... they even sell bands that cost as much if not more than the watch... yikes.
A:AnswerYes, but there is no keyboard that I could find. It seems to be either a choice of drawing each letter, or dictation, or setting some predetermined phrases for quick responses. When using dictation, my wife said that she has not found a way to manually fix the content when the dictation just doesn't get it right. So when I get some odd texts, I no longer worry that my wife is having a stroke, I just know she is using dictation on the watch to answer.
A:AnswerWith the series 2, it is connected via blue-tooth with your iPhone when you are within a certain proximity. When you are too far from your iPhone for blue-tooth, but on the same WiFi network as your phone, it does everything over WiFi. This watch does not require any additional changes or fees to your phone plan. The series 3 with cellular capabilities will require you to add it to your phone plan as an additional cellular device and will have much greater flexibility when separated from your iPhone.
