- Answer Yes you can use this monitor for dual screen. If you want to turn your screen vertical all you have to do is right click your desktop and select screen resolution. Once you are on screen resolution just select which monitor you want to change to portrait. No there is no special software needed.

- Answer It is widescreen as the decription states. Also its resolution, 1366 x 768, is a widescreen resolution.
