Best answer: No. The TV output is digital. The speaker's 'AUX' input is analog. The cable cannot convert digital to analog. If the TV does not have an analog output or the speakers do not have a digital input, you need a piece of electronics to convert the digital signal to analog.

Typically, most sound bars and HDTV's will use a digital optical connection. When connecting the audio output from a TV to an audio input on a sound bar you would most likely be using a full size to full size optical cable. See the recommendation below. The "digital audio output" on your TV may very well be an optical connection as optical is a type of digital audio connection.
