“The tray has the 4 rubber sides to help position in the fryer but I can’t get the tray to stay in place, it just slips to the bottom with any weight at all. Any suggestions or do I have a defective? This is the 8qt Bella.”

• No, that is how the grate fits. The cooking grate should sit near the bottom of the basket with a small gap between the two.

• THE RUBBER GUYS REST ON THE RAISED SPOTS ON THE INSIDE OF FRYER.. THERE ARE FOUR ON MY UNIT AND THERE IS NO MOVEMENT OF THE GRILL PLATE..THE INFO IN THE BOOKLET IS VERY VAGUE..I ALMOST TOOK THEM OFF AND WAS GOING TO TOSS THEM BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD MELT BUT THEY MUST BE SILICON..

• The tray is suppose to go to the bottom so any oils from your foods gathers there. Also it lets the heat flow thru the bottom food. Hope this helped.

• The rubber sides are there to keep the tray in while pouring out the ingredients. They are not there to keep the tray suspended.
