While an auxiliary cable doesn't come with the product, there is an 3.5mm jack on the back of the speaker for connecting non-wireless devices.

Hi there. Thank you for the question. The SoundTouch application is compatible with Android phones, so you can absolutely use your Android phone with the SoundTouch 10 system. Also, the SoundTouch 10 is available in both black and white.

how long will the battery normally last? and will it play itunes music ?

      Answer

The SoundTouch 10 system does not have an internal battery so can only be powered through the mains transformer included with the system. The system can save iTunes media libraries into the app and these can be streamed to the system via the app. If the device is Bluetooth enabled you will be able to play iTunes and stream this to the speaker via Bluetooth. If the device is not Bluetooth enabled then you would not be able to stream directly from iTunes to the speaker.

Are there any other similar Bose speakers that I should consider before buying this one?   (6 Answers)

    1. I currently live in an apartment and hence I think SoundTouch 10 would suffice my living room - is there any room dimension that I should consider for SoundTouch 20 vs 10? 2. I would use this primarily to connect to TV (watching movies) - are there any other Bose products that I should consider before buying SoundTouch 10? Also, are there any good links to compare Bose products to choose the right one for my need?

      Answer

If you are using this for a TV i would not recommend the 10 because the spectrum of sound does not sound as defined as the 20. I use the 10 as a PC speaker and had to do alot of config on my PC EQ to get the sound balanced. The 20 has MUCH more balance out of the Box and can cover a much better spectrum of sound which would be better for TV/Movies.

is this appropriate for use with an iPod?   (7 Answers)

        Answer

If your iPod has Bluetooth wireless technology built into it, you'd be able to connect wirelessly with this speaker. If it doesn't, you can still connect it to the auxiliary jack with a simple 3.5mm audio cable.

        Answer

You have to download the BOSE app on you device(Mobile or Ipad or laptop) then using the app you can connect the speakers to the internet and save radio channel to a number post which you can directly play the music while putting the WiFi signal on, using the small remote. once you save the channels you do not need the app everytime to listen to music.

Hi Paul. Great question. The Bluetooth range of the SoundTouch 10 is about 30 ft. The WiFi range will depend on the range of your WiFi router and any devices you use to increase that range. Thanks!

              Answer

Thanks for your question. The SoundTouch 10 is part of an integrated family of speakers and sound systems that makes playing music wirelessly throughout your home easier. SoundTouch gives music lovers direct access to millions of songs through music services, Internet radio stations and their stored music library. While it cannot have an MP3 player connected directly to the USB port, users can connect it directly to an existing home Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth and start enjoying music wirelessly in any room.
